If you're a budding podcaster looking to take your content to the next level, I’d feel comfortable recommending this set to get your feet wet. This comprehensive podcast microphone recording studio package is perfect for podcasting, live streaming, singing (demo quality), and content creation on platforms like PC, mobile, TikTok, and YouTube. This microphone has pretty decent audio quality for podcast episodes. During my long career as a club, radio and mobile DJ, I've done it all. I don't have a regular podcast, but I contribute to a few and have done one-offs on rare occasion. It's easy for me as my living room is a full-blown production studio. As luck would have it, this popped up here on Amazon just as I was considering doing something a bit more regular. So here's the professional critique... This "bundle" is actually only two products, but the "studio quality" mic comes well equipped with all of the accessories that one might have to buy separately: a weighted tabletop stand, a gimbal mount for isolating the mic from spurious/ambient noise, a foam wind screen and a clip on "pop screen," so that your "P's" don't sound like gunshots. It's a fairly impressive rig for a consumer product! Less impressive, yet extremely interesting, is the other box: the "live sound production console", which is the interface between said mic and your computer. On the upside, it provides the phantom power for the included mic. Not so great...no inputs for additional studio quality mics. There are tiny aux input jacks, presumably for another mic, cell phone or MP3 player, etc., but if you're using pro-grade mics, you'll need a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter to plug them in. There IS a USB in as well. Another humorous feature is a bank of sound effects such as cheers, applause, etc., and while they add a touch of fun, if you are a frequent podcaster, they'll quickly become tedious. So if you choose to use them at all, use them sparingly! Controls are abundant and work well. I like the milder echo, so that mics don't sound "dead" (again, don't overdo!). To me, though, the biggest advantage this console offers is portability! Barely the size of a tablet, this begs to be in a travel bag and taken on-location. This, I think, is its super power. When it was all put together and I could test it, I was surprised by the quality of the main microphone. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to the mic I use for my voice, my usual being a very expensive model I became familiar with while at WRIF in Detroit, but this one has a very similar sound. In fact, a few tweaks on the console made it sound very good indeed! So for those who have something to say and want to jump into the podcasting game, or if you already have a show and want to take it on the road, this is great low cost option. I have been using this lately and its very easy to use. The mic stand is sturdy and I really love the settings for all the voice changing. If you do podcast or tictoks this unit is a must!

    • A nice starter kit.
This is a great kit for beginners. Because I'm a beginner, it has taken me some time to figure it all out. However, it wasn't overly complicated. There's just a lot to learn if you've never used this kind of stuff. Everything needed is included to start right up. Once I figured everything out, I had a lot of fun with the noise effects. Adding in applause randomly is a lot of fun. I'm not a singer and I don't have a podcast, but this is definitely making me think of doing some videos and recordings. For now, I'll use it for event announcements, for sound clips. So far, it's been fun to figure things out, put them together, and have a clean sounding recording. The noise cancellation is pretty great. I didn't realize how much of a difference a feature like that could make, but now I'll never do another promo clip without it. I'd recommend for beginners, definitely. As I have no real experience, I can't say how good it would be as a semi-pro or professional setup. But for my sporadic needs, it's been amazing to work with. ... show more
