I got this in a Fractal Torrent Case and at about full load it hardly ever goes above 50C. I expected this card would be blowing lots of heat, but honestly my 3070 heats up the room more. This seems to run cooler from the more quality silicon, being the transistor wells are 5nm (30 series cards have 8nm), which makes a very big heat difference given there are 76 billion micro transistors in this model. So honestly this card runs cooler, more efficient, and runs anything (even Flight Simulator in VR). My advice is get a Fractal Torrent case and you're all set. ... show more

**********IMPORTANT********* I strongly advise pairing this with a vertical GPU stand or a GPU support bracket as it is a heavy boy and it is prone to cracking over time. Look up GPU mount cracking repairs. This isn't inherently a problem from PNY or NVIDIA but more of a practical problem with how PC's are setup with a 5lb gpu hanging off of the motherboard. Aside from that it handles everything I throw at it, doesn't get hot, and power consumption is good. I have 7 30mm fans in my mid-ATX case that keep air flow moving and it works great. I would advise putting this into a FULL tower if you're not comfortable with tight squeezes like my mid-size case. I have it paired with 32GB DDR5, an i5-12600k, and an ASUS Prime Z690-P. It's a great setup that I use for gaming, rendering, 3D animation/art, video editing. The only constraint is my processor which I could get more but as of right now it runs everything at ultra at 150+ fps (Raytracing and DLSS3) which is fine for my needs. ... show more

I'm currently running Folding@home and it is 45°C with an 80% GPU load and the fans are running at 30%. Very quiet! When I initially installed it the fans were running too fast and too loud so I adjusted a setting in my motherboard so the fan speed was based on the GPU temperature. (I have an ancient MSI X299 TOMAHAWK motherboard.) I just started to play Cyberpunk 2077 again and because I installed a ton of mods, my old 2080 card was straining badly in the past. Not so with the 4090 which is running without strain. I ran some bitcoin address mining tests and this card is over 5 times as fast as my 2080! ... show more

This is my first video card from PNY, and after 1+ month, I'm very impressed. It performs flawlessly, and runs cooler than my ASUS 3080Ti, believe it or not. It's a monster of a card, and can of course handle everything you throw at it (except Crysis... just kidding). I game at 4K and 165hz, and it hasn't missed a step, or even run hot in even the most demanding FPS games. Overall, I highly recommend this card, assuming you can find one for MSRP. ... show more

Box seemed like it had previously been open. Card was missing some plastic wrap, fans were a little dusty. Box did not contain the adapter for pci-e power cables but my PSU has a 12vhpwr cable so I thought it would be ok. Card leds light up but fans don’t spin and computer doesn’t recognize it. I think Amazon sold me a used card that doesn’t work, maybe one someone else already returned? Edit: I went to Best Buy and got an MSI slim 4090, worked immediately no problems. It also came actually new and shrink wrapped in plastic. Amazon is selling used, broken cards as if they were new. Very disappointing ... show more

    • Included support bracket not compatible

Great 4090 that seems well built, but the included support bracket is an issue if installation instructions are followed. If you install the extra support bracket where instructions state, the rubber on it comes into contact with the 2nd fan. No bueno. Moving this bracket to the outside screw holes of my motherboard was a no go due to the placement of some usb 3 headers on my mobo. Now, fortunately the 3 screws on the port end of the card and it's backplate are very sturdy. There was no sag without a bracket. I just don't like that many will risk damaging the 2nd fan when they follow instructions Just an update. I've had this card since May. It is now November. It has endured hundreds of hours of playing War of Rights where it pulls 430-450 watts. Ran Spider-man beautifully. It is a quiet card and remains so. So I am bumping my review up a star. ... show more
