Man, this net is pretty awesome. I stumbled across this brand while I was trying to assemble some fishing gear on the cheap. I’m in my 40s, never been a huge fisherman, but thought it would be a fun thing to take up with my boys. So I bought a spinning rod/reel combo from these guys and was very impressed. So I bought this net to go along with it. I was a little apprehensive about the silicone netting but it’s really cool. It seems quite strong and since it can’t absorb any lake/river water, it won’t stink. That’s why it just lives in the back of my Expedition now (see pic). The frame of the net is a very nice wood grain almost like a vintage Chris Craft boat. You could literally hang it on your wall as a decoration. I’m not a fly fisherman (yet?) so I haven’t used the magnetic release system but that seems like a nice thing to have. Hang it from your belt loop and grab it when you need it. The magnet releases and you have all the slack you need with it still attached. As for size, think of a racquetball racket. Great purchase overall. No complaints. ... show more

Pros: light weight, looks nice, strong magnets. Cons: pin quality, net hole size I’ve had this net for 3 months now and honestly for the price you cannot complain. The only real issue I had was that one day I tugged a little too hard on the magnet and the brass rotator pin came loose. A simple superglue fix, but if that’s the worst I can say, I’m sure it gives a pretty good inclination as to how the well the net works. If you’re fishing small native fish, definitely select the small hole variant that they have. I had the large hole at first and many of my fish would slip out. ... show more

This net is high quality and a great price! t's both lightweight and very durable. I've been fishing with it and it can easily handle trout, bluegill, bass, and even carp. The finish on the wood makes it smooth and comfortable. It also came with different straps and attachments so that you can strap it to anything that you would like. There is also a wrist band so that you can't lose the net when you're bending over to scoop the fish. I'm very happy I got this net and it will serve me for many years of fishing to come! The net is amazing, it’s the perfect size for almost any fish while you’re fly fishing, and for other types of lake fishing, it can easily fit anything that is smaller than 30 inches and the magnetic hook is amazing, you can just pull the net off of your belt, land a fish and return it, and then put the end of the net near your waist again and the magnet hooks it to your belt again. It’s more than worth it if you’re an avid fisherman or just someone who enjoys it occasionally, the net is hook resistant and won’t get stuck in the net after you unhook your fish. 10/10 would recommend buying this net. ... show more
