This belt is excellent for those with a longer torso- if you are on the shorter side, you may have a little discomfort with where it falls in relationship to your hip area depending on your waist/hip ratio. The Velcro is very secure and the fabric is soft- not scratchy or binding. I like that it moves with me while still giving me the support I need to feel like my hernia is being ‘held in’ without being constricted. I think this would also might be good for someone needing general back support as it is supportive without being restrictive- I still feel like I can breathe which is not always the case with many support belts. ... show more

I’ve been looking for a good supportive hernia belt for a while now. I’ve tried a bunch but they barely went around my thigh and if you were 25 pounds and 4’ tall, I’m not sure how they fit any human being. This belt though, finally, is made for human beings- even big boys like me and can wrap around and offer the support that’s needed. It’s comfortable and made of good quality material. I don’t want to say it’s stylish because you wouldn’t want to wear it on a red carpet, but it looks good for being a supportive belt brace- nothing too flashy or tacky. Just functional. And it fits. Belt is super comfortable and easy to put on. It doesn't roll or slip at the ends at all. I really like how it doesn't have any hard plastic bits. I got this belt because I have one already that is about half the height of this one but I found myself wishing that it was a little taller (so it would cover more of my torso) so I ordered this one thinking it would be perfect. Pros: -I really like the style of this wrap, it is comfortable because it doesn't have the plastic pieces that a lot of support braces have so it is comfortable enough to wear all day. I didn't get it for a hernia, I got it because I like to have a little extra support for my lower back while at work, without the bulkiness of a traditional back brace. -The velcro is strong and holds well, plus there is a quite a lot of the loop part of it so it gives you enough room to lighten or loosen the wrap to fit your need. Cons: -The bottom of the wrap can be a little rough and dig into my legs a bit when I sit or bend over. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that this isn't really a con per se, because I think it is just a little too tall for my torse and other people probably won't have the same issue as I did. This is also why still gave them 5 stars, because I am rating the product's function when used appropriately. I am 5'6" with an average torso, so I wouldn't suggest anyone my height purchase this one or you might encounter the same issues as I did. Overall, if you are taller than I am, or have a long torso, I would recommend this belt. And if anyone from the company reads this, please make one that is about 75% as tall as this one and I would buy another one in a heartbeat! ... show more

I like that this is taller than some of the other options out there which may be good for your body size and shape, but perhaps not for others. If you’re a short person, this could be a deal breaker. Either way, it offers solid support and gave me more confidence than the skinnier options. The belt remained firm and secure and did not shift after moderate activity. The fasteners are easy to use and held strong. It breathed adequately and didn’t turn into a sweatbox. It was washed by a hand rinse and then air dried. Not sure if it would survive a trip in the washing machine. I don’t know if this is any more uncomfortable than other options but it was a bit cumbersome on me, perhaps because I am fairly short for my size. Needed a little bit of support post hernia so this belt came in handy! The sizing is accurate and its design is perfect! It’s spot clean too so it’s easy to use. I love how tall the band is because it covers my entire abdomen wall!
