We've all been there: you're contorted inside of a cabinet reaching behind a sink bowl trying to tighten a braided hose. You can't use a traditional ratcheting wrench because you won't be able to remove it after. Open ended wrenches need to be completely removed and repositioned every time something gets in the way, and each time the wrench needs to be positioned on the connector is an absolute nightmare. You can slip a mini pipe wrench or slip joint pliers in place over the nut, but both of these put all the pressure on two points of the nut. If that nut is brass you need to be very careful. The unique design of this tool solves all those problems. This makes a full connection on nuts by means of a separating closed end wrench. The specific place that this box end separates makes this tool unidirectional, meaning if you have this wrench going the right way, it will engage the nut while tightening and then the box end will open and slip when reversing. This makes this tool's operation very similar to a ratcheting wrench, except with the ability to open and remove the tool once you're finished. The added threaded holder can help hold a valve in place or protect kinking pipes when installing a valve that doesn't have a wrench fitting built into the valve body. I have actually seen valves like this and avoid them. This tool is a nice addition, but even in the specific scenarios where it can be used, it's usually not easier than holding the valve with a wrench. i was surprised by the sturdy feel of these tools when I unpacked em and the smooth feel of the spring closing of the wrench around the nut. Correct fit onto the valve compression nut and the stop wrench held valve in correct orientation as it was tightened down. Fits two sizes with each tool, but I suspect most folks just use the smaller size. From the feel of the tool, I think these will be around after I am gone. May only use em two or three times a year, but worth the $20 + bucks the set cost. ... show more

The Copiu plumbing tool was ordered for use in my home in updating waterline hardware to the toilets and sinks. I've been in the process of updating & changing out the waterline hardware and sink & toilet hardware in the 4 toilets in my home. This tool just made the process easier for now and in the future. This angle stop wrench kit is a total improvement to the wrench that was being used in the past. The wrench is much sturdier and heavier than I had expected, but had hoped for. What I really like is that the wrench has an improved adjustable jaw that provided a tight grip for loosening and tightening the various nuts. In addition, I liked that the wrench is small enough that it fits in areas where my previous wrench either does not fit or the space reduces the effectiveness of the wrench. I recently did some work under the sink in the kitchen, fumbling with several wrenches and only getting things to work after a struggle. I hadn't closed things up when I saw this on Amazon, so I ordered it and tried it our on the fittings that had been giving me so much grief. The right tool for the right job, and this is it. Might not have the durability for a professional plumber, but seems solid and a good value for the homeowner. My ratings: just like school - A(5) - excels. B(4) - does a solid job, could do a little better C(3) - does the job, but barely D(2 or 1)) - either doesn't work, is cheaply made or has major issues. F(0) - flat out doesn't work or is actually dangerous. Vine reviews get the same scrutiny as products I paid for. ... show more

In the sake of full disclosure, I haven’t field tested this yet. Not under actual stressful situations, anyway. But on first look, it seems like a great concept and more than equal to most tasks around the house. Is it professional grade? Remains to be seen, but I certainly don’t have any hesitation using this for repair jobs I’m capable of dealing with (granted, that’s a pretty low bar). I like that it’s so compact and able to easily maneuver into tight spaces, like under the sink or behind toilets, which also means it doesn’t take up much room in my toolbox. Seems well made and has a good, solid grip for turning fittings, etc. Comes with the wrench and a socket to streamline installation projects. The adjustable jaw is the real stand out, though, meaning you can make it work for a variety of pipe, valves and fittings. Basically reimagines the good old pipe wrench, only replacing the adjustment nut with the adjustable jaw. A solid, versatile tool for the price. ... show more

Packaged well-enough for this type of tool. No instructions but, pretty easy to figure out. I bought it *before* I needed, so I'm not able to test it fully, but I did put it around a valve and it gripped well in one direction, and ratcheted/slipped in the other. I didn't even know that it basically ratchet! What more could you ask for? ... show more
