I bought a similar doll at Walmart and ordered this one as well, and the main purpose was to try to help my daughter (age 5) with the bad habit of twisting and pulling on her own hair. They’re both soft and cute and come with cute descriptions. The one from Walmart was a maybe $2 dollars cheaper, but within a day several pieces fell off. There was hardly anything to the Walmart doll, either, it was flatter, not much yarn “hair.” This one, however, is holding up really well. First, I would probably give this doll 4.5 stars if it were possible. It's an excellent little doll, judging from the brief time we've had it. The price is also very good. It's just that I tend to save top ratings for things that are so good it surprises you. Likes: The doll has a happy, friendly expression without being cutesy or spooky. I like her hair color and style. Her facial features (eyes, etc) are embroidered on, not painted or glued, so they should be more or less immune to kid's chewing. The rest of the doll is very soft and inviting. Minor cons: One, the manufacturer makes a point that the doll can have its clothes changed. It's true that the dress and shirt are removable (not the shoes/socks). However, the manufacturer didn't give any good sources for other outfits. I spent awhile searching Amazon and the doll's web pages looking for alternatives, without finding any clear leads. So the "changing clothes" feature may not be of any value. I wish it were. Two, it's not clear the doll will be a hit with its intended audience. This is the first doll for our 13-month old granddaughter, who we do day care for. She responded happily to the doll when she first saw it, but set it aside after less than 15 minutes. After having it for a few days, she picks it up for a few minutes once or twice a day, but soon moves on. We'll have to see if it grows on her. I imagine most any other doll would fare about the same, so I don't hold it against this one particularly. ... show more

I bought this Ollie doll for my kid when he turned 1. Now he won’t go to bed without it. The doll provides my so fun entertainment on car rides and he even try to feed toy food to the doll. Materials are nice and soft. We had no problem cleaning him. I recommend this toy.
