  • Love the CBT game!
I love this game because it facilitates building rapport with clients or students and offers an enjoyable way to learn and apply essential CBT skills. It includes a variety of play techniques and can be used in private practice or school settings. I use it for both individual and small-group counseling. I strongly recommend this game for ages eight and up! ... show more

  • Wonderful games in one package! Very professional.
You can see that this was well made and planned for its purpose. As soon as you open the box you can see that the game set is made to last! It’s seems like They thought on every small detail In the game. At the beginning I had thoughts of spending so much money on a game, but it’s 100% worth it. You get so many deferent games in the box, my boys love it !!! They get to express a lot threw this game that I haven’t seen in any other game. Its one of the very few games that gets my kids of the screen so it’s worth every penny for me. And that’s why I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Loved it!
Playing this game was a lot of fun for our worrying kid. She enjoyed playing with it and felt it really helped her to face some of the issues she's struggling with. This is what she had to say about it: "Playing CBT is a fun and creative way that helped me understand how I feel and behave in certain ways, and what I should think or do to about that. I enjoyed Playing CBT not just because of its helpful content, but also because it's aesthetic presentation and packaging that made me want to play it. I appreciated the clear and well-thought instructions and the nice look and feel of the game pieces. It helped me be able to fully understand what the game is trying to teach me. Also, I enjoyed that Playing CBT is actually a variety of games in one box. The different games address different issues that may suit different kids, each kid with what he or she needs to address. I think Playing CBT is a fun, creative, well-thought out and effective way to teach and help kids like me to understand themselves better and to do something positive about it. I highly recommend it." ... show more

  • Really great tool for social workers and counselors
I really love this game for use with my clients. I’m a social worker in private practice setting and I work with people of all different ages. This game has been great to teach some of my little ones emotions and the relationships between emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. I’ve even used it a few times with younger teenagers. The pictures throughout the game boards and cards have a lot of diversity with kids of many different ethnicities and cultures being represented. A lot of the games are adaptable and I’ve even managed to figure out a way to play some of them virtually with some of my occasional virtual kiddos. I do think there are a few issues with the game, which are mostly editing issues. There are some typos and/or errors in a few of the instructions sections, there are several instances where the skin tone of a kid’s head is very different from their skin tone on their arms and neck, and most notably, the picture on the Emotion Board for the emotion “despair” has a picture of a kid smiling and does not match up with that emotion. I’ve attached a few pictures that show the errors. I also have had trouble getting the little playing pieces to stay in their holders, so I usually use playing pieces from different games instead of the ones provided in the game. I’ve had this game for about 6 months now and even using it several times a week with kids of all different ages, it’s held up very well. Aside from the issues I mentioned above, I do think this is a great, high quality game. The price was a little more than I would typically spend on a game like this, but given that the game was created by a small company, and that you get so many games out of it, I definitely think it was a good purchase. ... show more

  • Powerful tool to teach chidren
I love this game!!!Many of the therapists I work with recommended I buy this. I am so glad I did!!It’s use in the therapeutic environment has helped affect change in many of my students. The game helps children identify their feelings and understand that those feelings and thoughts have a direct affect on their reactions to events. The instructions are clear and the game can be played in so many ways ! You can tell that this game was created by someone who is an expert in their field. ... show more

  • Learn before you play
This game is way too involved to figure out how to play on the spot. I recommend attempting to play this with a group of adults before you attempt to play with kids. There is entirely too much going on and the instructions come in booklet form.

  • What a great find!!!
My coworkers and I enjoyed unboxing the game. It is so well organized and engaging. My colleagues and I immediately started discussing which students we would introduce to the game first. It was clearly made with students in mind. The versatility of the games and the different levels in which to play allow us to use the game with a broad range of ages and abilities. The students seem to enjoy playing the games and have requested to play. Overall, highly recommended. I can see this game being a mainstay in my practice. ... show more

  • Excellent for counseling in school setting
I am a school psychologist, and I used this to implement as an activity with my elementary aged students. I really like that the game has many different activities within the game and ways to play with a student individually or within a group. I like that the events are age appropriate and my students always get excited to play the games. The games address identifying and processing emotions in a hands on way. I also like that the board and it's pieces are colorful and also include diverse illustrations that represent different races and cultures. I read previous reviews, it seems that in the past the illustrations were more eurocentric, but I am happy that many of my students can identify with the current character illustrations used in the games. I plan to use this game for many years to come. ... show more
