We are so happy that we found this lift chair on Amazon. I happen to loose my balance every once in a while and I am unable to get up off of the floor and this lift chair is going to be a life saver for when either one of use falls. Good price point and very well made.

Needed something to help someone get up after falling, and this is perfect. I tried it myself (about 200-lbs), and it lifted me to a sitting position in no time using the hand-held remote. PROS: Works great, Portable. Cons: not too stable using it on a carpet/rug. With the large suction-cups, a hard surface should be more stable. ... show more

As caregiver, I only had to use it once but I think it did a good job to lift the disabled woman up to a height that made it easier for me to help her transfer to the wheelchair or bed. It’s a bit heavy but I was able to carry and set it up next to her so she could get on it and sit in position to be raised up. I think that as caregiver you would have to help by holding the person so they don’t slide off the chair as it was being raised to the maximum height (which is standard chair height). That might not be an issue if the disabled person had good core strength and can sit unsupported. This lift is a relief to have for someone who uses a walker and sinks to the floor and can’t get up without strong assistance as she is 135 pounds. The lift is quiet and goes up gently. Time will tell how durable it is. Update:I solved the heavy chair issue. I bought furniture movers, the plastic pieces that you slip under furniture legs so you can slide heavy pieces of furniture around. These work very well. I just slip them under the chair lift and push the chair to where it is needed. ... show more

If you have someone in your home that is handicapped or prone to falling, this item is worth every penny. Tonight my mother slipped getting into bed. She has bad shoulders, and due to two recent strokes, her legs and feet are numb (as are her arms and hands).I brought this to her, slid her onto it and had her back on her feet and into bed in about 2 minutes. My wife and I are elderly. When we fall we can not get up with out help. We had this device about 6 months and used it 2 times and it worked well. On the 3rd time it broke. Fortunately it was close to the floor and my wife was not injured.

Very easy setup and Love the portability! Just charge the battery control and connect to the unit for a lift. No extension cord needed. Approximately 28 pounds that can be drug across the floor if needed. unfortunately, never had to use it due to dad's terminal illness, which came with a vengeance.
