For the cost of a single ambulance visit to pick my husband up off the floor this chair enables me to set him on his feet again all by myself.

    • Good but has issues
I bought this chair mainly to help with the older gentleman I take care of. He is a big guy and is very hard to get him up off the floor on my own. Shortly after I purchased the chair I had to use it to get him up off the floor. It is quite heavy, and even with the small wheels on it, it is very difficult to maneuver. Then once u get it in place, then u have to put the legs on it to help support it. Who ever designed this did a very poor job. Every time I moved the chair the legs would fall off, I would then have to stop and re put them on, taking up precious time in getting the elderly gentleman off the floor. Plus the seat dosent stay up unless u wrap the seat belt around it, but that dosent hold it tight. Once I managed to finally get everything together and staying there , I finally was able to get the elderly gentleman on the chair and off the floor. Once I got him on the chair, it worked fine. A little slow, but that's ok. I do have to say that it is well built, and sturdy, but has some bad design flaws. The manufacturer should at least look into redesigning the issues that not only I find bad, but other customers do as well. ... show more

Works pretty good, just need to make sure the legs are securely attached before using it. Once it is set up and you move it just a little recheck the legs. Purchased it for my mom because my health is declining and it is hard for me to pick her up by myself. She had both knees replaced and is not able to help due to knee pain. One of the reasons i chose this unit is because once she is up to the proper height, she can stand up on the floor and not a base platform like other units which might cause her to fall again. Once we received it and assembled it, i had her set down on it and lower herself all the way down and back up again to make sure it works properly. So it is Mom approved, and hoping she never needs to use it. ... show more

    • A new design is needed.q
The purpose and function of this chair are perfect for my spouse. However, being the other spouse that has to put this chair in various areas, it weighs a ton. It has wheels that absolutely need redesigned. They are useless. The Arms are a pain because they do not lock upward when you are not using it. Also the seat does not lock up, so the arms and the seat always falling down, the wheels are a joke, and it weighs a ton. So if the company that makes these reads this, instead of just thinking of the product user, also think abt the caregivers. Also, because it is everything I just described, if a person falls in a room 5 rooms away from the chair, it would be impossible for a little older person to get that chair to the person on the floor. it works. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A RUG OR NON SLIDE PAD UNDER CHAIR SO THAT WHEN YOU SLIDE BACK UNDER CHAIR YOUR FEET DON'T SLIDE ON FLOOR. i DON'T HAVE A LOT OF ARM STRENGTH BUT I DID IT. I HAD MY SON HERE WHEN I TRIED IT OUT.

    • The box is a little heavy for Seniors to lift.
The lift chair is packed all assembled. There are a total of only 5 pieces to deal with. It was easy to assemble and test. The battery charged quickly and the lift chair tested perfectly.
