This tool is fantastic! After an hour, my teeth are as plaque free as after going to a dentist visit. Truthfully, I had no idea how much plaque I had built on to the backs of my teeth. First thing, after giving it a full charge, I was perplexed. The lights were on, but it didn't seem to be vibrating. It looked static, When I placed the dental pick up to a glass surface, my phone, then I could hear the vibrating. The vibrations arrive at such a high frequency the eye can't really detect them. I gave my teeth a good brushing and then used to water pick to start with a clean surface. The light at the end of the vibrating pick is essential- it shows you exactly where to apply the tool. I started with the lowest level to be safe, and moved up eventually to the highest level for the problem spots. It was amazing to see the tartar and plaque come off in little hard chunks. I spent an hour the first time i used it, since I had not had a tooth cleaning this year. It really did an amazing job. I am also happy with the included dental tools to remove day to day debris. I was so impressed I purchased a tooth polishing kit immediately after. ... show more

I was definitely skeptical when using this at first because it seemed like it wasn't being as effective as I expected, but then the more I got the hang of it I couldn't believe how amazingly effective this tooth cleaner is. That along with the price makes this a must have for anyone curious about this item, but is still uncertain and hasn't made the purchase yet. You won't be disappointed, just give it time to get the hang of it and don't get discouraged if you can't get it to be as effective as expected at first. ... show more

It doesn’t matter how much brushing and flossing I do I still end up with plaque and tartar build-up in a few spots every week. In between dental visits I was using a tool to help remove these spots but after using the cleaning kit I can see what I was previously doing was clearly not as effective as with this new kit. I can see if the kit is used too aggressively how damage to the enamel could result so I’ve been using all of the tools with a gentler hand. - I wasn’t sure at first why manual tools were included and quickly realized the vibration tool works best once the bulk of any build-up has been removed using the manual tools. The manual tools are amazing because they have a ribbed type of texture that helps to easily remove hard build up spots. Using the tool isn’t just poking at a spot with the pointy end, it’s using the side of the tool as well. - Once the bulk of any build-up was removed I then used the vibration tool to remove the remaining thin lines around the gum line in in-between the teeth. - What I’ve been finding challenging is working with the mirror to get after the backside of my teeth. The mirror really allows me the see everything I’ve been missing. It takes some practice though to figure out which way my hand is moving in the reflection. - The tool wouldn’t be as easy to use if it were corded. Since the unit is rechargeable it’s easier to rotate the tool around and get after awkward areas. - Even though the vibration tool is small enough to pack and take on trips I’ll probably leave it behind and take the manual tools since they're so effective and take up very little space. I didn’t realize what an in-effective job I was doing of cleaning build-up until I started using this kit. The ribbing texture of the manual tools does an amazing job of removing large areas of build-up and then finishing up with the vibration tool leaves me with a more confidant smile and assurance I’m cleaning the best I can between dental visits. ... show more

I had some calculus on my bottom front teeth that looked awful. I had tried flossing it away, brushing it away. Nothing worked except for this device. It instantly blasted the hardened deposits off of in between my teeth. Definitely recommend if you have the same issue.
