Being an infrequent flosser, I've always had a problem with staining between teeth and buildup in tooth crevices. It got to a point where increased cleaning visits was recommended to me. Not wanting to pay for additional dental visits that would not be covered by insurance, I decided to research what my cleaning entailed and to add reasonable techniques to my routine. After reviewing what was available on Amazon, I decided to purchase this plaque and tartar remover as it was reasonably price and had all the features and attachments that I thought I would need. This product definitely worked really well for me. I used it with light pressure and made sure I did not linger more that 4 seconds on any particular area. I was able to go in between teeth and on exposed surfaces with no problem. Remember to use the right angle! After a few days there was a noticeable difference in the appearance of my teeth, which was surprising as I had gone to a dentist just before its purchase. Taking it slow, but thoroughly worked for me. Swapping between tips is not really an issue. I have adapted to using the mirror. I have not used this while traveling but expect that it would travel well as it holds it charge well (I am still using it powered by its initial charge). First charging took ~1.5 hours to complete. I love this! It’s a really great maintenance between dentist visits. I have always have a lot of tarter build up, and sometimes embarrassed when the dentist spends a little bit more time cleaning. And thanks to this, I can maintain and stop the build up. That way the dentist can spend more of his time focusing on other things, instead of rushing thru towards the end because he spent a little more time getting rid of the tarter. I groom my dogs myself, and have two small yorkies who can no longer get their teeth cleaned due to medicine issues. So I bought this cleaner to see if I could remove some of the insanely thick calculus from their teeth that normal dental tools will not remove. This machine worked nicely to get through that thick build up and scrape it off. Ok. You will not open the box and clean your teeth in 5 minutes time. This product will take a bit of time to charge up and figure out how to use correctly. First, you can see that the product comes with a cable but, does not include the wall charger. So, I first found an old wall charger and pluged it in. It instruction say to charge for about 2 to 3 hours. After 3 hours the light was green but, as soon as I disconnected it, it turned red. I let it charge overnight, same thing. I thought it was broke so but I didn't give up. I used my wall charger from my cell phone, and bingo that worked. Make sure you have a good wall charger. Next thing, to use properly, I found that you need some time to slowly run the device around the tooth at the gum line slowly. It was not painful at all. I spent about 30 minutes outlining each tooth. It really cleaned the gum line of my teeth very well. I then flossed my teeth and it made me feel like I just came from the dentist. I would definitely recomment this item. Just be sure that you have time to properly charge the devise. Then, enough time to use it. I will surely use this to clean my teeth at the gum line between dental visits. ... show more
