I write a blog where I teach people how to clean using natural products and common sense. Essential oils are key to many of my homemade cleaning solutions, including pest deterrents. I also use essential oils when making my own skincare products. (Really, I"m not as crunchy granola as these statements make me sound; I just like knowing what I'm using in my home or on my body.) There are many companies on the web selling essential oils, and their prices range all over the board. One company charges three times as much for half the amount of essential oils and, having received a free gift pack from them once, I was able to compare the products myself side-by-side. Honestly? No difference. Not in fragrance strength, appearance, or effectiveness in my homemade cleaners and skincare products. (Again, not that crunchy granola of a person.) The only difference? Price. And it's a VAST difference. All of which is to say, I've now ordered countless bottles of various essential oils from Plant Therapy via Amazon. I recommend this brand to my blog readers, and I use this brand myself. For Peppermint Oil specifically, I recommend its use for: - Deters mice - Deters spiders - Deters ants - Eases headaches (put a drop on a damp, cool washcloth then put it on your forehead) - Eases nausea (my husband is on chemo, and when he starts feeling ookie I do the washcloth thing and it always works) - Stimulates the senses (add a few drops to an unscented body wash for a wonderful morning wake-up) ... show more

I like this brand of oils. The Peppermint Essential Oil, Therapeutic Grade from Plant Therapy Essential Oils comes in 1 oz bottle . Again I must say they are less in price than other oils and I really like them. The health benefits of peppermint oil include its ability to treat indigestion, respiratory problems, headache, nausea, fever, stomach and bowel spasms, as well as for pain relief. Unlike many other essential oils the numerous health benefits of peppermint oil have been studied and proved by the scientific community. So you will find peppermint oil is sold in the form of capsules, tablets as well as liquid. It is even prescribed by doctors of alternative and modern medicine. I use it as an aid for digestion,nausea and headaches. The oil can relax the smooth muscles of the GI tract making you feel better. In tea is probably the most common and easy way. Just a couple of drops should help. This has that great smell like a piece of peppermint candy. Again I don't like the fact they don't have a dropper.     • LOVE this essential oil!
I recently started making soap and wanted to try out some different essential oils. This one is BY FAR my favorite!!! It has a great peppermint smell with just a hint of sweetness! When I use my peppermint soap in the shower, it makes my skin a little tingly (in a good way) but goes away as soon as it is washed off. The smell is strong in the soap but doesn't carry over on my skin, which is great. It's like an aromatherapy session in the shower but it doesn't interact with my lotions or perfumes. LOVE IT!!!! I will say that there are several companies that sell peppermint essential oil (and some for much less...which are great for soap), but I still love the smell of this one the best!!!! It is AMAZING!!! I have given a few bars away and everyone LOVES the smell!!! ... show more
