Description

AirBedz Original Truck Bed Air Mattresses come in several different sizes to fit compact, mid, and full sized trucks in long and short bed layouts. Cutouts on each side allow the mattress to fit around and over the wheel wells in a pick up truck, creating a sleep area that utilizes the entire truck bed. A built in rechargeable pump inflates and deflates the mattress at the flip of a switch. An integrated air coil system evenly distributes weight over a 12" thick mattress.

It completely deflated quickly and I was able to fold it up and put it back in the bag without a problem. It is SUPER heavy and feels very durable. I ordered this back in November. Was able to use it once or twice but otherwise, it chilled in my garage. I was going to go do some truck stuff about a month ago, and when I was doing the pre-trip inspection, discovered it came undone at a seam. It would not hold air. Bummer, but I reached out to Pittman and found out their offices were not too far from me. They said to bring it in. They assessed it and were totally cool about it. They took care of me. It was a pleasure dealing with them. Thanks Pittman! I look forward to doing much more truck stuff with my Airbedz. ... show more

This item fits my 2005 F250 Bed great, there is about 4 inches of space between the end and the tailgate, the head end is flush. I was a bit disappointed to find that this didn't come with a car charger, only an A/C charger. I had to go buy a power inverter so I was still able to charge from my truck, but the charge time is 8X longer. (8hrs vs 1hr). Anyhow, it didn't take more than around 7 minutes for this to air up/down. The only major improvement I would make is to add a power input and cable so it could be plugged directly into your truck to power it. If the battery goes out when you really need it, this is a POS unless you have another means to air it up besides your mouth. The material is very sturdy, yet comfortable. We took this to the drive-in along with a stack of large pillows and some sheets and we were the envy of everyone. This was SOOO comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this item highly if the two things above were addressed. For now it is the best I could find. If it isn't improved by the manufacturer, I may design one with the missing features. Update: There is a slow leak and I cannot find it anywhere. After using it about 10 times, it is no longer usable. Great idea, but what a miss. This quality warrants a $30 price tag. ... show more

I have five herniated lumbar discs and I sleep on my side and, I'm fat. That said, I woke up and was absolutely able to move around the next day. At no point could I feel the truck bed underneath. The inflation/deflation pump works beautifully. I was able to get it back into it's provided zipper bag. I was nervous about entrusting my back to an inflatable mattress, as it turns out, non-issue. The mattress that arrived obviously had been used and returned. But I aired it up and it did hold air. The built in air pump worked great and I liked the removable battery to charge between uses. Just like other reviews have said, you need to put ;lankets under the wheel well cutouts because they are too big to be able to accommodate other trucks too. Very cool addition to our new truck and camper shell. Easy to set-up and take down. Makes a queen size bed that can be adjusted for firmness. Great idea! Update: 3 Aug 2010. Got a chance to sleep on it recently and was pleased with the comfort. I think more padding for the fender well area would be a good idea. maybe folding up a large beach towel for these areas would help.
