Bought this to pair with Carbon X 2000 Spinning Reel and it is beyond good for the money. The 2 pc 7’2” has a perfect combo of fast but tapered load, so it will hold a fish buttoned while getting the hook set true. It is so light and comfortable that you will not be satisfied with the old coated style, or the cork. The grip allows for very leveraged casting to get it well out there without extreme effort. The renovated upper guides are so much sturdier and streamline, nothing but the breaking propensity is sacrificed, also allowing ease of storage.     • Fantastic rod for it’s price.
This is, by far, my most favorite rod to date. Super job by Piscifun in making an all around amazing rod. Sensitivity is great and I matched it up with one of their carbon X spinning reels and I don’t have a single bad thing to say about it. Very comfortable in the hand and haven’t had a single problem with its durability. I’ve been using this rod for my entire summer and its made me a believer in this brand. So much so that I’ve literally gone nuts buying all kinds of gear from them to find myself extremely happy with their quality and customer service.     • Great Rod, crap handle padding
Love the sensitivity of this rod so much I bought another. The rod itself is light, durable and sensitive enough to feel a light bite. I have two complaints, one small and the other… annoying. 1.) the small complaint. The bait holder is right where you grip the rod. In my many years of serious fishing, I’ve never seen a rod with a bait holder where you grab the handle. Let’s just say it “got” me a few times. 2.) the annoying compliant. Both of these rods have had the padding on the handles completely melt off while on my boat this past summer. I live in upstate NY where the sun gets hot not extreme like the south. Last summer, both rods had the glue from the handle padding come loose and I had to tape them back on. This isn’t a super expensive rod so it is what it is but it’s still frustrating. I’ve never had any other issue with dozens of different rods. These are my go to rods when I’m fishing a bed rig for bass. Just wish the handle padding held up better. Other than that, great rods at a very competitive price. ... show more

I bought this when it was on sale as kind of an impulse buy and was kind of regretting it a little bit tbh, and thought I'd probably just return it once it came in. Nope! Firstly it was shipped in a heavy duty cardboard rod tube. I was impressed with that as I've ordered rods from more well known places and they weren't shipped in as nice a tube as this was. So after taking it out of the tube I was pretty excited about how the rod looked and felt. It is very light! And it's very comfortable in my hand. I added a reel to it and took it outside and tossed a light lure all around my yard and it was very nice. Is this as nice as a St. Croix rod? No of course not. But it is also 5x less expensive (or more). It is definitely worth the sale price and probably the non sale price as well. I'll be keeping this rod and if it's the only rod you can afford or just don't want to spend more money than what this costs, I think you'll be happy with it. You really can't beat it for the cost, it's a nice rod. Make sure you get the right size for the kind of fishing you want to do and it should work well for you. Nice rods are fragile, take care of it or it will break. Same as any other rod, including very expensive ones. They are made for sensitivity and being light so you can fish all day, if you don't think you can be gentle with your rod, buy an Ugly Stick 👍 ... show more

I was iffy at first about buying the combo but the real is so smooth the pole is lightweight sensitive I took a chance on it and I love it so much I bought two of them My second one is being delivered next week if they put out a few more deals I'll buy some more

Bought the 7’2”ml and fished with this rod for smallmouth all weekend using light gear and was overwhelmingly surprised. Super lightweight great sensitivity and seems to be really durable. Biggest fish on it was a 2.5lb smallmouth so we’ll see how it does with a bigger smallie or largemouth but overall very satisfied and would recommend ... show more

    • broken rod replaced- they have my business

i purchased this rod and used it several time and was very well pleased with the light weight, sensitivity, and fish landing ability (i had caught fish on it). about the third or fourth time out with it i got hung in a tree (it happens) and did as we all do- i gave the rod a nice, but not excessive, pull... to my amazement and disappointment the tip broke off about 6 to 8 inches down. i am an experienced angler and have been hung up and gotten it loose many times in my life without a rod breakage so i am/was certain that it was unwarranted at this time. i sent Piscifun an email explaining what had happened and expressing my disappointment... they responded promptly and replaced my rod with me paying a $10 shipping fee. i have 3 of their rods (plus the broken one) and 2 of their reels and you can be sure i will be buying more. I have to revise my original 5 star to 1 due to product quality. In all I have 4 rods from Piscifun and 3 of the 4 have broken. Today one snapped right in the middle on a hook set, of course I lost the fish. The other 2 broke about 6 inches from the tip, nearly identical breaks. I also bought 2 if their reels, hope they hold up better than the rods. ... show more
