This 1600 Pieces Set of Pipe Cleaners in 32 Colors is good for making masks. I have been using pipe cleaners to insert at the nose area but I ran out. I would have prefered to buy white pipe cleaners but these were the only ones available to be delivered quickly. I noticed that these are not quite as fuzzy as some of the others I have used but they are plenty plush enough for use inside of masks. They hold their shape well when bent. The colors are bright and pretty, too. They arrive in a large ziplock bag with the bundles of various colors individually bagged inside. If you are using them for masks, this is the technique I have hit on that works best so far. Take one pipe cleaner and fold it in half. Then twist the two "legs" around each other all the way to the bottom. Then fold the two, cut, ends back on themselves and clamp them down hard so there is no pokey, metal, end to poke through your mask fabric or poke the wearers nose. Sew a 6" pocket across the nose area of the mask, leaving one end open, and insert the twisted pipe cleaner into the pocket. Stitch the open end of the pocket closed. ... show more

Nothing bad to say here. This is simply a super bargain on a huge lot of quality chenille stems in fantastic colors. It is totally wonderful that they include the natural colors - a number of shades of brown, black, gray and tans - the hot and vibrant colors are there too, but those natural shades are essential when creating critters.     • Most generous bag of pipe cleaners I've ever seen!
If you're into crafting, or making Covid-19 masks as I'm doing, this huge bag of pipe cleaners is just PERFECT! 1,600 variously-colored pipe cleaners for a reasonable price! To use them for nose-pieces in my home-sewn masks, I take three or four pipe cleaners and twist them tightly together to form a more substantial nosepiece. I find that after twisting the pipe cleaners together like that, I can cut the length in half so it can be used in two different masks. I also use small needle-nose pliers to bend over each end so there's nothing poking through the mask. These pipe cleaners are a bit thinner than some that I bought at Walmart, but for the price and quantity, I don't care! ... show more

We bought these for the kids to do some crafting while we're stuck at home. There's not much to say about them really since, you know, they're just pipe cleaners. There is a generous number of items included in an excellent variety of colors. So much so that I don't think my kids will ever be able to use all of them. Therefore, I've decided to take up pipe smoking. If I smoke a pipe twice a day for two years I should be able to use all of these. ... show more
