  • Excellent Scope, easy to sight. Clear view
This is a really great long eye relief, long range scope. Easy to sight in, magnification is easy to change. Simple mount. Great for when you want some long range rifle target shooting. Sight stays true after 150 rounds. Couldn't ask for more, well worth the money.

  • It worked for a good 200 shots
I've been looking forever for a good scope for my Gamo Whisper Swarm, I've returned many and many just haven't met my standards. Let me tell you something. For $50, you won't find a better scope. This scope looks beautiful on my rifle along with being dead center accurate. It only works on Picatinny rails; I had to buy a seperate rail because mine was dovetail but it was SO worth it. My only real complaint is that the POI seems to change when I adjust the parallax or distance bell, but it's easily adjustable thanks to the turrets. Feels good not having to carry a screwdriver around! For the price, you should be expecting at least one problem and that's really the only problem. Also a warning for people who own a Gamo in the SWARM series: you can't use the sunshade tube because you will not be able to load the magazine. The light up crosshairs are just an extra feature–I've never had to use it. I imagine they're great for shooting at dawn or dusk. Glass is clear, you can still see a bit in low light. Very much worth it. Edit: The recoil busted the elevation but luckily I could return it and I received a new one with no hassle. The new one seems to hold zero a lot better and the glass seems much clearer! Edit 2: The second one that I ordered already seems to have broken down again. It doesn't hold zero for higher end break barrel air rifles so don't bother if you're looking to get one for it. ... show more

  • Its great bang for the buck
I bought this for an airsoft full scale m14 that im building into a dmr. Bear in mind that this is a BIG scope. its also heavy for those of you with an already heavy gun. I can shoulder it for a while but this is a 3 pound scope on a 14 pound gun. Parallax is great up to about 12x magnification, after that it gets really blurry even when i set it to 200 yards to infinity. Better off using it under 14x or purchasing a scope for this price that has a magnification of 12x. As far as the build goes, its pretty darn good! The reticle ilumination is helpful in dark areas and the reticle is crisp and clear. Eye relief is a bit poor you have about 1 inch of head movement any direction until you cant see jack through it. But, overall, its solid. I wont return it but I would recommend spending this same money on one just a little bit lower powered. I needed the 16x for long range spotting as this is my only gun at the moment and you have to be aware. 16x doesnt work very well as eye relief is horrid at that magnification. Plus parallax makes it blurry etc no matter how much I focus it. Best I can get it is to focus on a small wifi dish on my barn thats roughly 300 yards from my house. focused it on the neighbors house a quarter mile away and was able to make out a window but thats about as great detail as youll get for a budget scope of course. Cudos to the pinty team for making the scope available to most people, but personally Id get one of their higher quality optics. ... show more

  • Would have been awesome
I read a lot of reviews before ordering this scope and when I received it I was sure it would be a 5 star rating, especially with the features for the price. The scope looked to be well made. The windage and elevation clicks were positive and the scope was exceptionally clear on 4 power, however as soon as it was increased to 6 power or beyond the focus became horrible and it could not be adequately focused for clarity. I have never had a variable power scope that required refocusing when changing the magnification. Apparently this one does require that, but the focus aperture did not have enough travel to bring it into focus at higher magnification. One of the dust covers fit the scope very loose. This by itself would not have been a big deal if the scope had performed in other areas. I tried leaving it on 4 power and was going to see if it easily returned to zero after adjusting the elevation for yardage. I figured if it did I would take my chances on a replacement scope. I could not get it to stay zeroed well enough to check this. The scope would hold zero for a few shots then the point of impact would move several inches. Sometimes it would stay there for a few shots before moving and other times it would bounce all over the target for several shots before holding a group of shots for a brief period. I tried three different sets of scope rings, one of which was a solid base. All of the rings had the same results. I found the scope to be very inconsistent. I read the reviews and therefore believe some of the scopes must be good. The one I got was not. With so many negative things going on with the scope, I cannot recommend it. ... show more
