I purchased this antenna to replace a Mohu Sky 60 antenna after I discovered that Mohu no longer sells the Sky 60. I tried other antennas over the years, but the Sky 60 picked up a lot of channels. I finally decided to purchase the style of antenna like the PBD WA-2608. I wish I had purchased something like this a lot sooner. I am able to pick up a lot more channels without pixelization. The motorized antenna makes configuration easy. I mounted the antenna in an attic and it still picks up the farthest channels. This is a great antenna at a great price. The only customization was to reterminate the RG6 cable so that it wasn't so long. The only suggestion I have is to use better lag bolts. I snapped a couple of them while installing the mount. I was using an impact driver and I probably should have drilled the holes a little bigger. Other than that, the mount comes with everything you need for wood or brick mounting. Give this antenna a try if you are in an area thats difficult to receive OTA channels. Update 11/8/2024 I purchased a 2nd antenna for my apartment after being impressed with the first antenna's performance. To address an issue with the original review, the included lag bolts work well once the proper drill bit is used. I have tried several different antennas over the years hoping to get OTA channels at my apartment. The best antenna could get maybe three stations. After seeing how well the antenna worked at the first location, I decided to try another PBD antenna. I was only expecting slightly better results due to the limitations of the mounting location. I am on the bottom floor of an apartment building and on the wrong side of the building to properly point the antenna towards the TV station antenna locations. The antenna could only be mounted about 7 feet off the ground. The antenna's line-of-sight passes through the building which means the signal has to go through lots of building materials for multiple apartments. There is also a metal staircase and lots of trees. Basically, the worst case for attempting any antenna reception. I was hoping to get a few more channels or at least improve the reception of the channels I was getting with other antennas. After a channel scan, I was able to get just as many channels as the PBD antenna at the first location. All of the channels come in well without any reception issues. I am blown away that this antenna works so well after so many years of missing out on content due to the less than ideal mounting location. If you are looking for a relatively compact antenna with high performance, do not hesistate to buy this antenna. The manufacturer responds quickly and is available to help if there are any issues. The recommended mounting location with unobstructed line-of-sight and mounting height should be followed, but this antenna may surprise you if you have issues with mounting locations and have tried a bunch of other antennas. ... show more

This antenna absolutely meets my needs. But I really recommend that you do some research and find out where your local transmitters are: direction and distance! tvfool is a site I liked for this. I'm about 100 miles south of San Francisco near Salinas, and there are two nearby transmitters. One is about 25 miles away (as the crow flys) and the other is 18 miles away, but those two transmitters are 90 degrees apart from each other. So I pointed the antenna at the transmitter that is furthest away. I did not bother using the rotation feature of this antenna because as others have pointed out, it rotates randomly. I would say just point the antenna in the direction of the furthest transmitter, scan on your television, and hopefully you get good reception. I had been using a wall mount antenna and I was pulling in a dozen or so stations. I installed this antenna in my attic and now I'm probably pulling in around 40 stations (most I don't even care for, but I'm getting ABC / NBC / CBS / Fox reliably and those were the ones I was most interested in). Again, knowing the distance and direction to your transmitters is something you need to figure out! Also, the higher the antenna the better. If you have a lot of trees, hills, & buildings in your area it will affect your signal also. Now, on to something I figured out about interference. There is a guy called antenna man in PA (you can search up his videos) who is extremely helpful with antennas. He totally disses this antenna! I'm sure there are much much better antennas out there, but this one worked for my situation, and the value here is incredible. I would say if it works for you, go with it. If it doesn't work you can return it and go with something more elaborate (and expensive). NOW, on the second day I had this antenna, it started raining at night. I turned on the television, and about half the channels were dropping out. I figured it had to be the rain, so I just shut off the television. The next morning the sky was clear, I turned on the television, and all my stations were back. That evening, I turned on the television again, and many of the channels were again dropping out. However, the skies were clear. OK, so, at night I was losing reception. What was the issue? I did some research and found out there are things around the house that can interfere with ANY over-the-air (antenna) solution for television. So, why was I losing my reception only at night? I did some research online and the thing that made the most sense was related to an electronic item that I use only at night: my LED light bulbs & the dimmer switches that I use to operate them. I'm not sure if the LED lights or the dimmer switches is contributing,or both, but I found that when my LED lights were off, or, were in the fully illuminated position on the dimmer, I had no interference on the television. When I put the dimmer into a very dim setting, I lost many of my stations. The initial solution was to just turn my lights off. But I did a little more research and found something called "ferrite cores" that you can order on Amazon --- they're very inexpensive. They need to go on the wires of the interference source, which takes some work to get into the electrical junction boxes. But once I did this, I was amazed that I was able to have most of my LED lights on at a low dimmer setting and they now barely interfere with the television picture. I haven't seen anyone here write about this, so I just thought I would share my experience in case anyone else is using LED lights and dimmers. Just beware. It has nothing to do with the antenna, and everything to do with the interference cause by the lights and dimmers. The antenna itself pulls in a great signal for me, and I'm very happy with it. I was concerned at first when I opened the box and looked over the antenna because its construction is VERY FLIMSY, all lightweight plastic and lightweight metal fittings. If I had planned to mount it outdoors on my roof I would have sent it back, I cannot possibly see how this antenna could stand up to high winds or harsh wind and rain we get in the northeast US. I kept it because my plan was to mount it in my attic as I did with a prior antenna, in my development we cannot mount antennas on the roof. So I assembled the antenna, it was very easy to put together and the instructions were simple and good, I then mounted it in my attic on the wooden attic/roof framing. From where it is mounted it is roughly 30 feet from outside ground level. My house is about 60 feet above sea level where I live. The good news is once I connected it up to my tv and adjusted it with the motor the picture was absolutely perfect on digital channels on a scale of 1-10 it’s a 10 for picture quality. I am able to get about 60+ channels in total which is really good fo my area. Even the non digital channels come in as good as you could expect, as a note I am 50 miles north from the towers that transmit all the channels. The only other things I would say is you may have some trouble with splitters if you buy cheap ones but other than that this antenna works really great in my attic. I should note I have not used it in the summer months yet, my attic likely gets very hot in the summer so we shall see how it holds up next summer when it’s hot outside. All that said I would definitely recommend it for use in an attic, but not outside on a roof, it wouldn’t last long at all in rough weather conditions. ... show more
