It sits tight on the leg but I felt a bit clumsy with it and the sheets are almost impossible to use while flying. For organizing it all at the same place and taking things off while flying without doing a lot of maneuvers and things then I guess it could have a good use.

    • The clipboard remains separate.
The photos make it appear that the clipboard is captive in the canvas, but it isn't, it remains a separate piece and does not secure to the canvas. The only way to keep the clipboard from flying around loose is to put it on your knee and then attach the clipboard canvas to your leg over it, which kind of defeats the purpose of having an integrated system and is clumsy to do if there's already stuff on the clipboard. ... show more

    • Works great but ink pen wrote on my seat
Works great but I no longer use vertical ink pen holders after noticing my seat had ink all over from how the pen is mounted. I know use one of those spring clips on the left part where binder was. Took binder out.

    • Not well thought out; Clunky.
Firstly, The picture doesn't match the product. The PLASTIC clipboard does not slip into a pocket like it seems. Cons: The "hook" side of the Velcro is face down on top of your leg if you're wearing shorts, it's not pleasant. Speaking of Velcro... There's two separate velcro straps that are responsible for securing. Con: The leg strap gets the job done, but the "handle" part of it that determines the length is very large and if you have smaller legs or want it tight, it's so stiff you can't back folsit or move it out of the way so it sticks straight up on the side of the flat surface. Con: The clear strap that is supposed to hold down paperwork is pretty much useless because there's (Way too many) rings to hold paperwork that get pulled taught by this strap. Paperwork held by the rings PLUS the strap is nearly impossible. The ring pages get bound up because the clear paper strap pulls the ring side off kilter. Look elsewhere. The plain aluminum Kneeboard is great. Just had a weak spring and a slippery foot that can both be modified easily. ... show more

    • Perfect for paper charts and checklists
This is a really great buy. The only thing I wish it had was some sort of iPad clamp but it isn’t advertised as such. At the one I was still just using paper charts and check lists and it works brilliantly for that. The rings pair nicely with some plastic sleeves which you can put anything you might need into including regional or unpublished strip charts. The clipboard stays in when in use and is per study writing platform, however it does tend to slip out of the cloth when you don’t have it strapped to your leg. Not too bad a problem but can be annoying when hopping in the cockpit. Overall you really just can’t complain too much because it works really great and is a bargain. ... show more

    • Stitching came loose
Everything looked great then a few days later, I went to put pens in it and the stitching came loose instantly. It's still able to hold pens but make sure to check everything before throwing away the original packaging! I'm keeping it since last time I returned an item (unrelated to this item), the item was lost in transit and I was charged again for it. Overall the quality is great and I can't wait to use it for flights!! ... show more
