I had some old throw pillows around the house that I stuffed inside that case to use these as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I was a little surprised at the fabric. It is a rough fabric, not smooth and soft. Because of this, I would have rated it as a three star, however...this was a gift for my 20 year old daughter and she ABSOLUTELY loves it (I bought her three different characters, so she has a "set"). I try to decorate in a more sophistocated decor while expressing my inner geek so these pillow covers allow me to show off my love for Star Wars and my elegant lifestyle at the same time! However, there was a small thread was loose at the bottom of one cover and the zipper took a bit of gentle tugging to get it to close. Minor issues, but worth mentioning. I got three of these, one in each Star Wars style, for my living room decor. It is super cute and the fabric isn't rough at all, even though it's a canvas type of material. It's able to fit a standard sofa pillow or a soft bed pillow (that's what I used) and it washes easily. I just take it off the pillow and throw it in the wash (reverse it to ensure the color & transfer stays) with the rest of my laundry.
