This isn't for us. It's not comfortable, even with the extras. It's awkward to walk in. This thing would be awesome for maybe a zoo trip, but not as a kid carrier. It's great to use to give your kid a safe height to see without killing your shoulders. I wouldn't use it for anything else, honestly. My kid didn't try to choke me, scared he'd fall. Instead, he just jumped down and almost broke his arm, and caused me to fall backward on top of him (almost). The child part has no closure, but only clips onto the adult straps. The weight isn't distributed well, even with the belt- which has to be super tight or it pulls your pants and slides down. I kept it, for zoo trips, parades and those things, but I'm sticking with my regular brand for kid carriers. ... show more

At first we almost sent it back. It was awkward and felt like our 3-year-old may fall off. But we gave it a few more tries, and it's starting to work. Our son likes being so high, and it's better than carrying him in our arms or giving him a piggyback ride. The biggest critique is the carrier puts more strain on our son. He has to stand the whole time, and he has to spread his feet to get a good position without digging his toes into Dad's back. When he shifts his feet, we have to check to make sure he has a good hold. Even still, it's a nice option for short periods and keeps us moving quickly. ... show more

great solution to getting your kiddo from point A to point B. Give it a few tries - our little one didn't want to ride until the third or fourth trip/offer. now she loves it!!! now to get her to start saying "duck daddy" when a branch is getting close instead of "goose daddy" five star idea. I'd maybe make the aluminum tube shorter. Seems too wide. I like the back pad addition, but all that other accessory stuff is going to make you look like a christmas tree. I find the extra bags and totes are just trash for the landfill. ... show more

It was fantastic. We’ve used it for well over 100 miles if walking. You don’t feel the child’s added weight on your back or shoulders. For the adult it’s outstanding. For the child, it could use a couple of tweaks. The foot bar is about an inch or two wide, after a little bit of use the child needs a break because it starts to hurt the bottom of the feet because of how narrow it is, if it was a bit wider the child would last a bit longer on the rider. Also, the bar slides and may need to be adjusted. If the child puts more pressure on one side or the other, then the rider becomes a bit unbalanced for the child thus becoming an issue for the adult. ... show more

We wanted to love this but just didn’t. We got it for our 3 year old when we go hiking. The bar kept sliding so it just stayed crooked and she ended up making my husband almost fall a couple of times. She ended up just walking 3 of the 4 miles because she didn’t want to stand in it.
