Walked about 50 miles for 2 days with 5 year old at 50 lbs. Well built, light, doesn't hurt your shoulders, child can sit on it and drop the legs down if the buckle straps are extended further. My nine-year-old wanted to try it out for fun and we did and even with her weight and four and a half foot Heights we were able to use it again Buckle straps have to be extended all the way, and the bar on which the child stands had to be lowered. I love the idea. The item is just not comfortable. All you get is one strap that goes across the chest. It should have an additional strap that goes across your abdomen for additional support. After 5 to 10 minutes of walking my neck and shoulders were hurting. The concept and practical nature of it is cool but it's lacking in comfort. I returned the item. First off, I absolutely love the idea. However, it was soooooo painful to wear. I had to cut our hike short because it hurt my back and shoulder so much. I think it's designed for a guy, not a smaller stature gal like me. I also had to order a different harness as the one it came with didn't actually have a chest strap. It's not ideal for a younger kid either. I would return it, but apparently there was a return window and I missed it.... ... show more
