  • This game made my halloween party!
This game is great- we had 18 people laughing and engaged trying to pick their poison! Definitely for people over 18- it's quite inappropriate (in a funny way).

  • Easy to play with lots of replay fun!
Ordered pick your poison (NSFW) on a whim last week. It arrived by the weekend (in japan) after a one day delay. Luckily I was in my apartment just leaving when it arrived! Brought it to a Christmas party for a large group of friends. Went down a treat. It's got some utterly disgusting options to pick from. There's a strategy to picking cards which keeps it from just being a "how can you gross your friends out more" type of game which I imagine would get boring easily. Also, the discussions of the two options sometimes caused hysterics - trying to figure out if the five penises on your hand instead of fingers would be fully functional without a ball sack for each stopped the game for a good ten minutes. Some of the options, like other games in the same vein, are really daft and offensive for the wrong reasons (is there actually anything funny about a nursing room orgy?) but on the whole, this kept us entertained for a good while and I'd definitely bring it out again, repeatedly. ... show more

  • Good for large groups and is a refreshing twist on games with similar mechanics.
This game is very similar to cards against humanity (or even apples to apples for the younger crowd) but I think it may even be better for larger groups. We always like to play CAH because there aren't a lot of games that can handle more than 6 people. If someone brings an extra person or 2 to a game night, the group either has to split up or a few people will feel left out. I've been on a hunt for more games that can handle 10+ people or utilize teams because of this. However, with CAH we have noticed if you have a larger group (more than 10) it can become un-manageable because rounds take a while (especially with booze) and people get bored waiting for their turn to be judge. Sometimes I've noticed that people will start to tune out if their cards aren't getting picked or if the some judges aren't picking the funnier cards (humor is relative). This game ads another layer of interaction after the judge reveals the winning card each round - the entire group must answer the horrible question. This extra layer of humor by answering the question kept our group more engaged when people don't have the same humor or ick factors. Also - People who would normally tune out mid rounds were more involved and would start defending their answers. We did a game of 12 last night with this game and everyone was engaged the entire time. Sometimes a hand will happen that is kind of boring (maybe the judge doesn't pick the card that the majority agrees with) and everyone will vote the same way in response. The addition of the double down factor helped keep people excited about winning the lousy round. I'd say the NSFW edition is just that. It's a lot of body parts, sexual taboos, and bodily fluids but both decks are fun. Obviously there aren't as many cards as CAH yet but I think this game is a refreshing new twist. ... show more

  • Not for all game nights
Can be fun, can get downright disgusting depending on the crowd you play with. Not for the squeamish, just remember to play in fun, and if easily offended or easily sickened this game is probably not for you!
