I got this keyboard for the kids to start learning how to play an instrument while they are young. It seems to be well built and works perfectly for what I was wanting it to do. I do not know much about keyboards, but this one works good for me.

This is a great set for kids to learn on or for the experienced player. It comes with a microphone that works well. The piano or keyboard has dual speakers to enhance the sound and allow you to switch the sound to a higher pitch or lower. The sheet stand snaps into place easily. The instructions are fine - just note that when you press the keys - remove the rubber that runs along the bottom of the keys to keep them from depressing and creating damage to themselves. There's no way this is worth anything one to the price being asked. The keys are so stiff you have to press down hard on them, and even then there's no certainty you'll get the reaction you're expecting. Anyone who has ever played a piano or keyboard knows that the keys should NOT be stiff and difficult to press. Don't waste your money. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been trying to learn to play piano with Duolingo and thought this would be a fun way to practice. It’s definitely a beginner’s keyboard, but it’s more than adequate. The only thing I’d say is the price is a little high for the build quality. It’s quite lightweight and plasticky. One thing to keep in mind is that the keyboard arrives with a piece of foam across the front of the keys. At first I thought there was something wrong with them, but the foam needs to be removed. It’s just there for shipping. The keys travel perfectly fine. The keyboard is loaded with different sounds and features, but I’m just using it to practice piano so I use the standard sound with sustain on. It’s the closest to sounding like a real piano. The speakers sound good and can get quite loud. It includes a 3.5mm headphone jack in case you want to practice without bothering anyone. ... show more

To get a keyboard like this that comes with a music stand, stickers for the keys, a microphone, etc for around $50 is pretty amazing in my opinion. There are lots of sound options and variations. Great for the novice just fiddling around or even someone who actually plays. I’m really surprised by the quality of sound. The sound is pretty robust for the size and output, and, surprisingly, doesn’t sound tinny or toy-like. It’s very lightweight, hence, easy to port; however, it’s not so light that it feels unsubstantial. I’m also very surprised that it works so well on just 4 AA batteries (the ones I had growing up took 6-10 D batteries, so this is a delight!). The functions are intuitive and easy to operate.
