Taking care of your oral health is easy with the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Toothbrush. This rechargeable power toothbrush offers Sonicare's best plaque removal and whitening system, featuring patented Sonic technology and brush heads with diamond-shaped bristles that gently brush away plaque. Five cleaning modes provide a custom cleaning experience, and the Smartimer and Quadpacer ensure you brush adequately and evenly. For your convenience, DiamondClean includes a sleek charging glass and a USB charging travel case. The product needs to be charged for at least 24 hours in order to fully charge the battery. The product may still deliver up to an additional 12 uses after the battery indicator has first started to flash in an amber color. The amber color is an indicator that the handle needs to be charged. When charging multiple products be sure to have them sufficiently spaced apart [at least six inches]; when placed closer together, products may not charge correctly. Brand Story By Philips

  • Converted from the Oral-B 7000
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Black
I have always been a Braun consumer. I love German products and own a Series 7 Braun shaver (which I love) and have used Oral-B toothbrushes for the majority of my life. I purchased this Sonicare because I was still getting somewhat poor dental checkups and remembered several co-workers that had really recommended Sonicare, along with my dental hygienist. So, I thought why not, and as a self-proclaimed gadget nerd, had to go with the best. First and foremost, this toothbrush looks awesome. It's sleek, has a unique charging base, and can be charged in it's travel case. The matte black finish is definitely an upgrade from the black rubbery finish of the Oral-B 7000 toothbrush. I have not had any issues with holding the handle while brushing, but If you like to hold on to your toothbrush with a dripping wet hand, you may have a problem. Also, the long debated topic of which cleaning action is better may last forever, but based on my experience, the Sonicare is the absolute, hands down winner. I used to floss before every brush with the Oral-B (as recommended) but I was not seeing any major improvements in my oral health (I suffer from minor gingivitis). After using the Sonicare, I unintentionally started skipping my floss routine and it was not even noticed! My morning breath is fresh, my gums are healthy, and my teeth are whiter! When I finally do floss, with a couple of weeks in between, there is no heavy blood oozing everything like before! This is why I will never look back to Oral-B! I just get a better cleaning feeling using the Sonicare than I did with Oral-B.. which brings me to my next point... I never used any of the other 5 cleaning modes on the Oral-B 7000, and after the first couple of months, put the "Smart Guide" back in the box. This, in my opinion, is a bit gimmicky. I don't like gimmicky stuff, and the Sonicare is just business. Sure, it offers additional cleaning modes as well, but it doesn't feel excessive. I only use the "Gum Care" mode, as it offers an extra minute of gentler action to stimulate your gums. The Sonicare does shut off after the allotted time for each mode, something that the Oral-B allowed users to program to be able to brush for as long as they want. While I sometimes miss this option, it's not a deal breaker. Overall, if you are trying to decide between the Oral-B 7000 and the Sonicare DiamondClean, go with the DiamondClean. Other than the ability to program the brush to your liking, the Sonicare brush beats the Oral-B in every other category. Looks, function, effectiveness. If you think about it, there is probably a reason why the Oral-B is selling at a bigger discount than the Sonicare... ... show more

  • What has always been a chore has become a bit of a treat.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Black
I love this device!!! It really has made cleaning my teeth easy. I thought I would initial use this on top of a normal tooth brush but I love the way it makes the inside of my mouth feel so clean. As a bit of a background I normally brush twice a day and sometimes more if I eat something that makes my mouth feel disgusting. I also floss after every meal. I wanted something good to basically polish off the days coffee stains. This device is amazing. The design is sleek and the handle is smaller than what I thought it would be not bulky at all. The brush head is very small, which I was weary of thinking it would require me to brush for twice as long. The button is sturdy and flush to the housing making it easy to depress and hold. The device has five settings clean, white, polish, gum care, and sensitive. I use three clean, polish, and gum care. Each seem to vibrate at different speeds. I am not sure if the rotation differs. I really enjoy the gum care settings. I use very little toothpaste with this device compared to my analog toothbrush. I have also noticed when using well you can eliminate toothpaste "spittle" spray on your mirror and sink. Gross I know! So far I have yet to have to charge the devices and I just finished day four. I am hoping for the price tag this last a while but only time will tell. Accoutrements; The travel case, its design is beautiful. Its a hard plastic case with some sort of cloth surface. The end of the case has a mini usb port for travel charging. The only draw back of this case is the hinge. The hinge is made of plastic. I imagine over time this will snap as the user opens and closes it. So wear in tear is a factor for the world traveler. The case can hold the main housing and two brush heads. I would have preferred if it actually had a space for the electric cable. Stand/Glass; Again the design is beautiful. The stand is a charging station that doubles as a glass holder. Honestly, Philips really nailed it with this design. It allows for a user to maximize their bathroom storage space. As a man I own numerous grooming devices and so often I'm having to juggle what's being charged, displayed, stored. I was able to eliminate normal glass while adding another electronic device. Basically keeping the status quo of counter top space. (no fights with the significant other over invading her space!) Travel plug; Its a mini to mini usb travel plug.... ... show more

  • how great it cleans
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Black
i work in a dental office, and the dentists and hygienists are always sounding off on the Sonicare, how great it cleans, best toothbrush money can buy, etc. etc. After several months of hearing this, i was finally convinced to get one myself. This is an insanely expensive toothbrush... but it is definitely a well-built and impressive looking product. The sleek, matte black finish, the chrome ring, the sweet carrying case design... it is exceptionally designed, and is far and away the sexiest looking toothbrush I have ever seen. (something i never thought i'd say!) but of course, the most important thing... this baby works. It is definitely a different brushing experience than i was used to (in fact, you don't have to do any "brushing" at all, you just pretty much hold it where you want it to clean and gently move it around and it will do its good work vibrating your teeth to clean, sparkling goodness) My teeth feel so fantastically clean each day after using this toothbrush, it is seriously like going to the dentist. There is simply no way using a manual toothbrush this level of clean could ever be approached. It has super good battery life, unrivaled cleaning, awesome portability (and honestly, how cool is it that it can charge just sitting in a glass cup on your counter?!) and of course, in black, it is far and away the most impressive looking toothbrush on the market. Probably ever. So if you're looking for the best clean... in a very stylish package... look no further. ... show more
