Soft, cuddly and so lovable, the Philips Avent Soothie snuggle SCF347/03 is the perfect first friend for baby. It makes Soothie, the pacifier used by doctors and nurses to calm newborns in hospitals nationwide, easy for parents and babies to find. It also keeps Soothie close to baby. The Soothie and stuffed animal detach and can easily be cleaned separately. Just sterilize the Soothie in boiling water or a sterilizing bag and toss the stuffed animal in the washing machine. Then leave it out to air dry. The stuffed animal has a second attachment mechanism for pacifiers with ring handles. Soothie snuggle is BPA free. Soon all of our Soothies will say Philips Avent; but for a while, you may see some products that say “Soothie, Children’s Medical Ventures” and others that say “Philips Avent” in market. Update: We've had this giraffe for a year now and it's my 15-month-old's absolute favorite thing. She's very attached to it, has learned the word "raffe," and I intend to buy her a second one before sending her off to daycare soon since she sleeps with it at every nap and bedtime. It doesn't hold onto pacifiers very well anymore, so if she still wanted to use them that might be a downside. Thought I think the decreased grip mostly comes from her pulling pacifiers out and chewing on the rubber attachment instead. Not really an issue for us though, since she tends to prefer her thumb for sucking needs at this point. ----- After a gifted Wubbanub we received for baby was immediately stolen and destroyed by our dog... I was on the hunt for something that might replace it and I think ended up being a way better option for us. We have a small collection of pacifiers and it’s easy to pop them in and out of this to clean them separately. We haven’t been using any clips, but this helps us keep pacifiers off the floor. It’s much easier to catch if it does fall and if it ends up on the ground, things won’t bounce into some abyss under your couch! Our baby uses this while falling asleep and it’s easy to detach from the pacifier while rocking so that there’s no stuffed animals in the crib with them. I think as baby grows, this will be a great toy (and tool) to grow with them. The only time I don’t love it is in the car seat. When baby was smaller, it sat between their chest and knees with easy. They’re a little taller now, so the can pull the pacifier down. As baby gets bigger, I think they’ll be able to hold onto the toy or we may add a clip into the mix for car rides. Super cute elephant for holding A pacifier, the only thing I didn’t like is after A while the hook becomes loose and the pacifier doesn’t stay on. It’ll keep falling off. Other then that very cute and soft for baby to cuddle while sleeping.

The Avent pacifiers are the only kind my little one likes because of the round shape of the nipple part, but I HATE the outer design. She refused any of the typical oval shaped pacifiers that always have handles and are easy for babies to hold making life easier for babies and parents, but because of the design of Avents pacifiers (with no handle), my daughter had a hard time keeping them in her mouth or grabbing them to put back into her mouth. These little stuffed animal holders were the perfect fix!! Not only are they adorable, they are easy to clean and it makes it very simple for my 5 month old to put the paci back if she drops it. She loves snuggling with it as well. It also makes paci's harder to lose! They are so great, I bought 3! The Seal, the elephant, and the Koala (that way I always have a clean one if one gets slobbery or spit up etc). If your baby is like mine, get one (or 3 lol) of these! The wubba is softer, easier to hold, and cuter than pacifier clips. Function: The plush is easier for babies to hold. The plush is attached to the pacifier, so you don't have to pop the pacifier back in as often. The soothie pacifiers attach and detach quickly for easy cleaning. The plush itself (pictured) has been through the laundry 10 times and looks very durable. Tip: The detachable ones are way easier. This soothie pacifier/plush toy combo is wonderful for my baby. She has just started reaching and grabbing for things, and the plush seal was the perfect size for his little hands to hold on to. She hasn't quite grasped the ability to find the pacifier once it falls out of his mouth, but even so, the seal snuggle buddy kept him occupied so that she wouldn't start crying right away when this does happen. Those few extra moments of peace are like gold for a busy mom of two! I also like the fact that I can attach any kind of pacifier that I want, letting the toy "grow" with my child. So far we have only used Soothie pacifiers, but I like having other options! The plush buddy was very easy to clean...just drop it in a mesh bag, throw it in the washer and go! It didn't take very long to air dry either, so my son didn't have to go too long without his buddy! The Soothie was also easily cleaned in boiling water. No worries about bacteria! My baby moves her head a lot while asleep, so I found that it was easier for her to sleep with just the Soothie, detached from the toy. Love this for our little guy who is currently in the NICU. Since he is a premie, he struggles to keep his paci in his mouth and this definitely helps! Fox is about the size of his chest (he is 7lbs now) and is high quality!

Some of the other companies are very furry and the hairs get stuck to the pacifier. This is short hairs so it's safe and they don't get any in their mouths
