What I luv about the Philco Personal C.P. Player. As soon as installed the 2 double A batteries, I popped in my copy of Kiss Alive 2. It was a really good sounding copy of the c.d. The BBS On/Off Switch works great. You could hear c.d. clearly. Even the parts of crowd making noises didn't interfere with Paul Stanley inducing the songs. This basically the same compact disk player that had in the late 90's. The LCD display is easy to see. The control buttons are very simple to use. The ear buds are pretty decent. The only issue that I had is the eject c.d. button. The lid will not open completely. But I am able to work with that. I can still remove the disk without any problems. For what it worth. Broke on the second day of use. Just totally shut down. Tried other batteries, but it wasn't the batteries. Next time I'll pay a few more dollars for something more reliable.

I like the player very much. I did not like the little earpieces. So I ordered a set of headphones with the sponges on them. And I also ordered an electrical adapter to use electricity instead of batteries. I’m in heaven now.

previous negative review may have been erroneous as i assumed batteries working properly since each time (about 50) i tried it, it went on and then clicked off in about 2 seconds. when i tried those same batteries in a different machine, did not work until i changed to new batteries. therefore previous negative review may not have been correct and i deleted it. ... show more
