I wanted to love this reel, and for the price, I had positive vibes…dang it. First, it casts like a dream. Excellent. Super smooth retrieve. BUT….the little grey clippy thing that is used to start spooling line onto the spool CONSTANTLY catches my line when casting. Aggravating. THEN, the spool has a bad habit of kicking off line from the spool when casting…creating a birds nest. I spent a half hour today rectifying line issues. Yes, I cussed. Nice smooth real. I would’ve like to have a quick release like my old shimono. Works great with my Shakespeare elite ugly stick. That’s far it lasted through the first season and held up pretty well. Maybe a little expensive for what you get but all in all I’m happy with my purchase

Reel has given me no problems at all. Definitely worth the money. I've only had it for a few months but it feels like it's gonna last a long time (knock on wood). Runs smooth and gets the job done.
