I had two full sized umbrellas that I kept in the car for those unexpected rainy days. They will not fit in the storage area in our new car. So I ordered these which fold into half the length to replace them, thinking they would be “good enough” for emergencies. When they came, I was surprised at the sturdiness of them. These umbrellas are very good and strong. I can tell they are made well although one of the springs on one of the umbrellas must have been defective, it snapped on first try (causing the inability to actually close the umbrella). I believe this was not common because you can feel their strength. In any event, I contacted the company and they immediately sent me a replacement. They were very thoughtful and thorough. These umbrellas are great for light to heavy rain. I use them when I travel and make sure I have easy access to them when it's raining. They seem hard to close at first, but the seller answered my question about closing, very quickly, and his instruction worked perfectly.

I bought a 2 pack because it was supposed to be sturdy and wind resistant. It was compact so it could fit in my bookbag while I walked to school. After 3rd use, it broke and I had to hold the umbrella open for the entire 15 min walk in the pouring rain. I got soaked and so did my school supplies. Not great quality at all. I would request a refund but it is past 30 days since I purchased the item. Hopefully the seller will reach out and prove this to be a fluke. As of now I would rate 0 stars. Awesome as a gift or for a couple. It's really a two for the price of one deal. Very compact and easy to use. One touch open/close, and various colors although I wish I could pick which two colors I wanted to buy rather than preselected. It is also water repellent so the water stays outside where it belongs. Here in the midwest we seem to go through umbrellas fairly often. I work downtown in our city and the wind gusts between the buildings will blow even the sturdiest umbrellas inside out, but so far so good! This was an excellent price for two umbrellas with auto open and close, it would have been a reasonable price for just one of these, honestly! These are what I call standard size umbrellas. Not really small enough or light enough to tuck in your purse but they are more suited to inclement weather, too! And if you're like me one hand is already in use so an umbrella you can easily open or close with one hand is a great thing to have! And a heavier more solid construction will give better protection and coverage than a flimsy lightweight one. Definitely worth it! ... show more
