I think its a lot more entertaining than other ordinary balls. She seemed scared at first then agitated, now she does play with it more than her other toys. I’m sure many dogs would absolutely love it but our 10 week old pup is a scaredy-cat so he hides when we try to get him to play with it. It’s loud enough for our Scotty, but not loud enough to interrupt hearing the TV or making conversation. He loves it and plays with it a lot. The only con so far is the fact it has a hard, smooth surface with no holes, so unless the dog’s mouth is a fair amount larger than the ball, he can’t pick it up. We had a previous toy that was electronic and in a Velcro closing bag and have to put the Babble Ball in it so he can pick it up and carry it around. ... show more

This ball is truly interactive. My dog loves to engage with it but is still somewhat afraid so barks and runs from it a lot. I love that it talks and lights up. I don’t love that it’s sound activated and can’t be turned off. It’s fun during the daytime!

Who ever invented this ball is a genius--it flashes and the continous sounds, songs are hilarious--our boxer puppy can get this in her mouth-she is 11 months old and weighs 47 lbs--she goes crazy the minute she hears the ball--we have so much fun with her. In doors the ball rolls under things, in the crate is better or any small confined area and we find she can chase it outdoors and she chases it then brings it to us to throw-the only negative is the batteries, they are difficult to get in. ... show more

My very energetic Sheltie likes this talking ball so much that I can’t get a moment of peace. I put it up out of his reach but it still reacts to his bark or even human voices and noises from across the room. Imagine a possessed leprechaun yelling “No No No!” in the middle of the night. I did have to put it out of earshot unless I want it available for some serious playtime. You could remove the batteries and the ball would still be a lot of fun for a dog. My dog normally likes noisy squishy toys and I thought this would be a hit but she is so terrified of it, won’t go near it and if it starts making noise she’ll run the other direction. So far it’s been very effective of keeping her off the couch.
