I wasted so much money on detergent with my dogs potty pads. I'd put in so much detergent it was becoming a bill. I had noticed my dogs were scratching more and figured maybe the detergent is irritating their skin. So I switched to this for their pads and something super gentle to wash their bed. I have to say I’m not one who writes reviews. But I do always read them. I know I know. Let me just say I found this product by accident. But thank god I did. I have a dog who hates water so he is stinky. We do are best with dry shampoo and doggy wipes but his blankets get stinky fast. I did my first wash last night with his blankets that I wash twice a week with every product you could think of and they never totally get ride of the smell. THIS ONE DID!! So impressive. I washed with just this and no extra products to hide odors and it had no dog smell at all. My only complaint would be I wish this came in pods it’s a bit messy but hey it works! Washing our dog's bedding and toys, this detergent seemed to make them come out fresher (we used it as an additive along with regular detergent). Not used for big messes or nasty smells yet, but so far it seems helpful.

the residents of my home include two tiny gremlins who prefer laundry piles to their litter box, and two people with sensitive skin that doesn’t agree with scented formulas. this detergent additive is amazing. it takes away urine smell very effectively, the cats aren’t peeing on the same things — and have almost stopped completely!! — and actually softened our clothes too! definitely my go-to from now on. plus the value of the size while being a small family owned place definitely makes it worth the money. ... show more

I've tried a few different Active products and they've all been good. This stuff is incredible though. I have a cat who urinates when she sleeps because of a sleep disorder so I have to wash bedding daily. I use two scoops of this product in each load and it has been taking all of the urine out. Since it eliminates the enzymes, there are no stains or odor left and the loads come out clean and fresh. It is truly life-changing for my laundry routine. I absolutely recommend. ... show more

    • Cleaned up a bunch of dog laundry
We use cloth diapers to clean our dogs' feet when they come in from digging in the back yard and to wipe up whatever messes they leave on the floor. I washed the diapers and a bunch of well chewed toys in a load last night with the Pet Laundry Detergent Odor Remover and they all came out clean and fresh. Luckily, I didn't have anything worse, but I am pretty certain this enzyme-based detergent would do the trick. What I can't tell is if it is vastly different than using our regular Tide. Since using this, I haven’t noticed the foster kitties peeing on the beds and reusable pee pads. I think this is breaking down the enzymes so they don’t smell it and continue. Happy so far!
