  • What a great product including the tires!
Color: Midnight River
The stroller idea is nice because I would walk several Chihuahuas and when they got tired I would just pick them up and put them in the stroller. Also if I saw bigger dogs coming I would put them in the stroller for their protection. Total weight of all Chihuahuas 20 pounds. Overall I like the stroller but the tires are awful. The pump is hard to get on the tire valve and you fill up the tires and by the time you disconnect it all the air is just about out. Yes the stroller is empty when I do that. Luckily since the weight of my Chihuahuas is so low I can still use it but it would be nice if the air would stay in the tires it would make it a lot easier to use it. It could be the tires it could be the valves it could be the air pump losing air. I want to enjoy my day not work on this thing. Customer service does get back to you but I don’t remember them being overly helpful. I had a piece fall out of the part that has to do with the braking and I never got an answer on that. The open and close feature is a very nice concept versus zipping it up. The stroller fell over one time and it popped right open and my Chihuahuas were running away from the stroller because it scared them and being in the street that scared me. When they get scared and start running they don’t run in the same direction if you can picture this. The previous pet gear stroller I had was a zip up and the tires never went flat because they were plastic. I had less problems with that one. I thought the quick close feature and being able to go on different surfaces easier would be very nice on this newer one. If I had to do over I would’ve kept the cheaper one except that one ripped. I was going to go on a walk right now but I’m so aggravated with the tires that I decided to do this review. If you’re a tire expert you might like this stroller because it has a nice basket underneath and nice little cupholders for treats or something else by the handle. I really like the idea that it would roll over rougher terrain but with tires under inflated that doesn’t work very well. If the tires were better I probably would really like it. If there was some little space or bracket that I could secure the top to the bottom in case it was opened by a bigger dog that would be nice as well. It would be nice if they had an option for better tires and or a better air pump. And as of today it is not laying down flat and I don’t care to investigate it other than take everything out of it and it still won’t lay flat. I can still get it in my car this way so I’m not going to bother figuring out why it won’t lay flat now. I’ll be shopping for another stroller from a different company. Update: 03/05/21 What a major improvement with the tires. My previous review was the stroller with air filled tires. This review is on the stroller that has the gel filled tires. What a great improvement. I still like the many benefits of the stroller including the large storage basket underneath, the height of the handles on the stroller, the ability to go over rougher terrain with the gel filled tires and the storage dish that is up by the handle. The handle padding is very comfortable to walk for miles. The handle is also convenient as I take a three-way dog leash attach to the handle and I can walk up to three dogs at a time and if I need to pick them up and put them in the stroller quickly that leash is long enough to do that. With the hot weather I added a Pet Mate quilted pad size 29“ x 18“ for the hotter weather to protect the stroller and it is easily washable. I see that Pet Gear also offers a really comfortable looking stroller pad that I will get for the cooler temperatures. I also see that they make a Weather cover for the stroller that I don’t have yet so if I get one of those I will do a review on that. The push button clamp seems more secure than on the last stroller which I really find Valuable. Also I like the little straps in the stroller so you can strap your dogs in the stroller and leave the top open. There are companies that make dog couplers so that you can take that one strap in the stroller and Secure two or three very small dogs to a side. I am very happy with the stroller now and would recommend it to anyone. ... show more

  • Almost 5 star dog stroller - roomy, great smooth ride due to real inflated tires - just watch out for front wheel malfunction
Color: Rugged Red
Reese here, reviewing one of my favorite purchases from Amazon in the past year. If you are reading this review, you shouldn't need any explanation of why a dog might need a stroller, but just in case you're on the fence, let me explain to you about my dog. A few years ago my 25 pound dog developed herniated discs and had to have spine surgery. During a strict month of crate rest with absolutely no walking or activity, I purchased a basic dog stroller to be able to take him for walks to get fresh air but keep him immobile. He greatly enjoyed them. Fast forward a few years later, and he's now a senior dog with some serious health problems, and recently became blind. He can still walk ok, but he is hesitant to walk long distances since he's blind, and it is much easier to transport a blind dog around the city in a dog stroller rather than expecting the poor pup to navigate as easily as a seeing dog. So, late last year I decided to upgrade his stroller to one of the fancier, jogging strollers. I spent days and days reading every single review, and comparing different brands and models. I treated my choice of dog jogging stroller like a life or death decision. Finally, I ordered this one, and crossed my fingers. When it arrived, I was hugely impressed with the quality. It came in an absolutely GIGANTIC box, like the size of a small refrigerator box. But the nice thing was that the stroller was largely assembled. All I had to do when I opened it was attach the wheels, and secure some of the fabric to the frame. As soon as the stroller was assembled, I took him out in the city for a long day of socializing. Right away I noticed how incredibly smooth pushing this stroller is compared to my basic one, because this one has real, rubber tires that you inflate (the stroller comes with a basic hand pump). My basic stroller has plastic wheels that, although they have held up for about 5 years, aren't as sturdy as rubber tires and are definitely not smooth when going over bumps or uneven paths. This stroller is much heavier than my basic stroller, however, which made it more difficult at times such as when a subway station did not have an elevator, or the elevator was broken. When my dog could see and that happened, I would fold the stroller and carry it up/down the subway stairs, and my dog would follow me. But now that he's blind, he can't navigate strange subway stairs at the drop of a hat, so I keep him in the stroller and carry the entire stroller up and down the stairs. It isn't a big deal for a few steps, but it can be very challenging if it is a full flight or more - and in some cases I had to carry him 3 flights of stairs because the elevator was out of order in a main subway station - ugh! Beyond the increased weight, there were several improved features from my older, basic dog stroller, that made up for the increased weight. For example, this dog stroller does not close by zipping it closed, rather, you clip the front closed with a latch. This is much easier than fumbling with a zipper. Second, this stroller is much roomier inside for my dog. He doesn't need all of the room, but I am glad it is roomy so that when he wants to lay full out for a nap, he can do so. I originally thought that I may be able to put both of my dogs in this stroller - one is 25 pounds, and one is 15 pounds - but my smaller dog isn't good at sharing, so unfortunately that won't work. But it could most definitely carry 2 dogs easily, if their total combined weight was 40 pounds or under, let's say, and they would be perfectly comfortable. If they are dogs that like to snuggle with each other, even better, they will do great together in this stroller. Along with the positives, there was a major negative when I first used the stroller. After using it for just 1 day, the next time I used it, I got out into the busy city, many subway stops from home, and it started not working on me. It wouldn't push the right way, and the front wheel kept turning the opposite way that I wanted to go. It was literally malfunctioning before my eyes. It was extremely maddening and frustrating, because there was nothing I could do, yet I had this pretty heavy stroller, and a blind dog, and I had to navigate stairs and broken elevators, etc. When I got home, I immediately contacted Amazon and explained the problem. They offered to exchange the stroller for a new one, if I sent the defective one back. As much as I would have loved to do that, the stroller is extremely big, and I had thrown the box it came in away. There was no way I could locate a box large enough to pack it and ship it back to Amazon, and if I brought it to UPS or somewhere, the cost would be more than I had paid for the stroller. Unfortunately, I was chatting with Amazon customer service who must have been located in a foreign country, because she kept repeating the same unhelpful information over and over again. It was like she didn't understand what I was saying. Finally, she said this one time they would make an exception and told me to keep the defective stroller and they would send me a new one. I very much appreciated that, as it was impossible and illogical to return the defective stroller to Amazon, I just wish it hadn't taken 40+ minutes for the customer service rep to understand what I was saying. In any case, the replacement stroller has been working great. It does not have the same problem with the front tire and wheel mechanism malfunctioning, so I am very happy. One final note about this stroller - the cup holder is completely useless. It is so shallow that you cannot put any drink in the drink holder, because it will immediately fall over. I made the mistake of putting a latte in there, knowing full well that it was too shallow, but thinking it would be ok for a few minutes because I was actually parked with the stroller trying to do something, yet somehow the latte still knocked over and ended up all over me. So keep that in mind and don't use the cup holder. I have actually purchased a couple of stroller ad-ons like organizers and cup holders, to make it more functional. Concerning the attached photographs, some show my 25lb dog in the stroller, and others show my smaller 15lb dog in the stroller. ... show more

  • Puppy couldn't walk but missed his outdoor adventures
Color: Forest Green 2023
Our dog had a hear condition hit. He loves going for 3 daily walks. What to do? Purchased this stroller. It held him firmly in place with the clip on attachment. He wasn't happy the first few walks because he likes to pee and smell everything. But, by the second trip he was happy to rest and watch the world stroll by. We walk him 3 times a day and he loves it. He would have been so depressed without his daily stroll. I would buy it again!. The wheels are sturdy and the height for me 5' 4" is perfect. Love this stroller. ... show more

  • My Pug absolutely loves his new stroller.
Color: Forest Green 2023
I love how easy it is to push. I bought the stroller because my senior pug who is 14 years old has arthritis he still walks but not as much as I would like to so when he gets tired this stroller works out perfectly and he loves going for a ride in it. The only issue I have with the stroller is the cup holder is not deep enough to secure a 16 oz water bottle so when I hit a bump the water bottle falls out. I love how easy it is to secure if you want your dog completely enclosed just push a button rather than messing with zippers. Overall I am very happy with this stroller. ... show more
