Have a cat I rescued off the street when she was a wee lil kitten. Never got the appropriate mother and littermate experiences so she plays waaaay too rough. Add an extremely overactive predator instinct and she is pretty hard to handle sometimes. None of the other toys I've tried really kept her interest. Like the fishing pole toys... she was always more interested in attacking what was waving the thing around. Gotten quite a lot of scratch and bite marks these past 6 months. Shredded up my hands and arms so much a lot of people have commented on it when they see it. No, I'm not an emo, just have a crazy kitty. This is the one type of toy I've found she actually likes. She'll go to town on it, especially when she has the "zoomies." She's been able to get a lot of that stuff out of her system with this thing, and the past few days have been a nice break for me. Not sure how long they last, but hoping at least a month with her. They're cheap enough to buy one every month, and more than worth it considering I'm also getting a lot of peace of mind and body and she really enjoys it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I got this for my chi puppy and she LOVES it! We got a wiggly bacon first and it was such a hit we got a wiggly fish. She barks so much in anticipation when I get it out. The battery charge doesn’t last very long, though. But it’s a hit!

It’s a fun toy and gives great laughs to everyone around however, while my cat loves to tackle anything that moves in a 10 foot radius, she is also very gentle and the noise from the toy seems to be a bit off putting. It also seems to flop too fast and while she wants to play with it and will when it’s off, when it’s on it’s just not quite something she’s up to play with. I understand it’s hard to control motor sound and we still love out toy but if they found a way for the motor to run a bit quieter then we’d buy 10 more of them! ... show more

My dogs loved these wiggly pickles. They need frequent charging and they are not very durable for heavy chewers. The motion detection worked well when fully charged and I liked being able to turn it on/off if we didn't want to hear the wiggling. I LOVE THIS TOY! My cat is SO OLD, she has trouble playing with toys because she's so weak that she falls over easily. She can't even track a moving string or feather (even if you move it really slowly) anymore. BUT THIS TOY IS PERFECT for her! With this toy, she lays down and the toy does all the work. It wiggles like a real fish would, with varying wiggle patterns and speeds. Most wiggle toys just keep wiggling and after a while, cats lose interest in it. With this toy, the wiggling stops after a minute or two, just like it would if it were actually alive. Then it starts up again with any slight movement from her. And if the movement wasn't enough to hold her attention and enthusiasm, the catnip is -- it drives her wild and makes her bite down hard and shake it until it stops again. (I added fresh catnip to it because I had some laying around. Not sure it was necessary though.) She really gets into it! She grabs hold of it with both paws and strikes it with her back feet, while biting it and shaking it with her head. It was soooo good to see my little old lady act like a kitten again. She has so much fun playing with it, that she seems to forget all about her joint pain and stiffness. I'm so happy I bought this toy. It's brought so much joy back to her life. I recommend it highly for anyone, especially those who have an older cat. ... show more

Style: Sassy Squid
Having bought 8 of the flopping fish, I came across the squid and wanted to try it. All of these flopping bots basically have the same mechanical inside. However not all are created equally. The squid is a strange one. For one its pattern is far too long. Like 20-30 seconds when it only needs to move for about 5 at most. That means it burns more stored energy than most of them do. It does have 2 interesting and nice features related to charging. One is it has a second LED light inside that is green to indicate when it has stopped charging. The other being that it has an auto shut off while charging. So no more of having to turn off when charging. However there are other things. Like a small circular button that seemingly does nothing. I am sure it has a purpose but with no instructions there is no way of knowing what that is. Also initial packaging is not good. Like packing the body with things like the charging cord and catnip packet. Now for the body. The tentacles of the squid are nice and cats love them. However given that this doesnt stay charged very long due to excess power usage, its not a real practical rebuild of this model. Squid might be great if the flopping motor is changed out for a more basic one. However without it, Have to recommend a standard fish instead. More durability, Morebattery life means more play time. 2/5 definitely below average for what these things are. ... show more
