    • COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT might pose a danger
This COULD HAVE been a great toy but the opening on the back where you put in a catnip pouch is WAY TOO BIG! The cactus is cut from top to bottom & side to side. Yes. That makes it easy to take it out & put in a new one I suppose BUT.... its too easy! The pouch falls right out! I work with animals as a profession and I personally took it back from our new cat in less than 5 mi notes. I believe it poses a danger for having the cat eat the pouch itself which could lead to a myriad of problems from choking to blocked intestines or IF it were going to make it all the way through my kitten? Passing it out would be trouble. A fun chew toy for my teething kitten isn't worth the worry and possibly giving him something that could hurt him. You could just take the pouch out but isn't that the point of this toy? to have kind of a sturdy & fun envelope to hold a packet of catnip? ... show more

My cats loved the cat nip in this however they lost interest after a couple weeks. The cat nip is removable and in its place I use liquid squeeze up treats that works pretty well. My 5 month old kitten loves chewing it.

My cat LOVES chewing, specifically anything silicon. He is 6yrs old and only this past month has he started a brand new habit of completing chewing up the the ends of my boyfriend's sweatshirt sleeves. Completely bizarre! So i found this searching for chew toys for cats specifically out of silicon. He would give it 12/10 stars. No sweatshirts have been hurt since getting this. But it's not chew resistant. Something this thin could never be. My complaints would be it needing to be thicker and the place to put the car no bag in the back is to large. Since the toy is silicon it bends and streches and the cat nip pops out fairly quick. I think they had popped the catnip out and tore the bag open by day 3. I have had this for about a month now so i am happy it lasted this long. Luckily he just chews and doesn't eat it so it's only slowly coming apart from all the holes he's put in it. I didn't know this was a dental toy. But i wouldn't get it for that if it's your goal. The nubs need to be a bit longer even if your cat chews on this using the side of their mouth the nubs aren't long enough to get to their gum line. ... show more

I got different toys for my 3 cats for Christmas. When this one came, they all actually fought over it. My small cat wants to lay her head on it and the others are angry they couldn’t get to it. Needless to say, I had to buy more of these to keep peace.
