  • Don’t care for it
Meh, don’t care for it. Just a general guide for old folks not good for specifics. I wanted a replacement for old Personal Finance for Dummies to guide me thru investing and other things. But this just pointed you in a direction rather than offering how-to or what-to specifics.

  • Not great, nothing really new here.
I bought Erik Tyson's "Personal Finance Book for Dummies" more than 20 years ago and it has served me well. It has been my roadmap for financial success. I thought this book would provide a good supplement with more specific strategies for the 50's. Unfortunately, this book is way too basic. I learned nothing new and ultimately just flipped through it. I would look to another resource if you want a book with more depth on financial planning for your 50's and 60's. ... show more
