Permatex Flowable Silicone Windshield and Glass Sealer flows into hidden and hard-to-reach areas while its wicking action silicone 'seeks the leak.' It forms a tough, waterproof, durable, clear seal that is resistant to weather, extreme temperatures, vibration, shock and most shop chemicals. Fills surface voids and irregularities, with a temperature range of -80 degrees Fahrenheit to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. This sealer comes from a trusted line of Permatex sealants for virtually any automotive sealing application, from windshields to vinyl tops to electrical connections. Had my car on defrost with high get for 4 hours with windows shut before using this. Put some water in a cup and microwaved it for two minutes to get the water very hot. Put the unopened tube in the cup to get the gel hot. It barely flowed into a thin line that I needed it to do…but it did it. The tip was too fat so I had to flatten it out and use a 1/64 inch drill bit to drill a hole into it. The metal tube started to leak at the bottom half way thru the job even with me rolling it up as I feed the window gap. Got the job done but… Heat is the key to get this to actually flow…don’t know if any of it flowed into the gap below the surface . We will see the next time it rains if this sealed up the gap. Easy to use and clear instructions. Clean the area where you'll be applying the silicone and apply. The top gasket on my windshield has started to detach from the windshield. After applying I let it sit for a few hours before driving and had no problems since. I live in an area where the weather and temperature can vary substantially. It's handled heat in excess of 100⁰f as well as cold and ice that this year experienced as low as -45⁰f I only used about half of the tube and it's just been sitting in my car but is still usable if need be again. ... show more
