    • Hung 80+ lbs on it, here's what happened...
After taking about 22 minutes to assemble from parts, using the included tools, I went ahead and hung some weight on the front side, similar to a large TV. I basically held onto the vertical mount brackets and put on as much weight as my hands would support in that position (former rock-climber). Since I now weigh in at 190, I would estimate almost half my weight, and easily over 80 lbs was hanging on the mount brackets. This I held for 30 seconds. The only noticable point of weakness was the two upright poles supporting everything - they did bend forward a bit, but didn't appear close to bending or snapping (former metal-worker terminology). The base seemed fairly solid, and the mount pivots as well. I would definitely trust our 70 inch TV to hang on it without worries. I went into this review having read some other opinions, so when assembling, I made sure that all bolts/nuts were tightened well. Using the included tools, it put a fair amount of pressure on my hands because the wrench thickness is rather thin. Some folk may not be able to tighten enough, using the included tools, to make the stand as solid as it needs to be - regular tools may assist this process. My main reason for subtracting a star is the overall way in which pieces assemble to each other. It's based upon a good design concept, but the execution of that design could be better, and easier too. I also feel that the metal components are the cheapest they could use to get the job done. Because of this, rolling a large/heavy TV across plush carpet, could have enough rolling resistance to cause the stand to fail as it's pushed on from a normal height. To avoid this, pushing or pulling on the base would work better for such a situation. Rolling across thinner carpet or hard flooring there's very little rolling resistance. Knowing what I've learned about this stand, I would NOT be nervous to use it for many situations. I would be nervous for plush carpet or inclines. I'd probably go ahead and use it, if it was already purchased. But would be happier to add a few dollars to the price and go for one that gets better ratings. ... show more

I got this for the office hoping to hang a TV on it for the conference room. There are too many parts to assemble, so before dedicating enormous time to assemble and not liking it, I put the pieces together with some zip ties to see the final result. I was pleased with how sturdy the unit is. It is made of steel and looks and feels solid. It is portable and can be rolled from one place to the other. I have a 42 inch TV that I will install and it should be fine. I just don't get why the legs are not same size. 2 legs are larger than the other 2. Also, it would save alot of time if the pieces clicked together rather than screwing each piece. Now, I will complete the assembly and finalize the installation. ... show more

    • It does the job, but I'm not a fan.
I got a different stand for the living room and I love it, so I wanted another one for the bedroom. I got this one to try and I must say, unfortunately, I'm not a fan. I think two of my parts were mislabeled because I put them on as the instructions said, but it turned out they were backwards and I didn't realize it until after I had the TV on it and was trying to adjust the tilt--the R and the L were mixed up. That wasn't my real issue though, especially since that was easily fixed. It's the wheels. I wanted the wheels for easy mobility, but they take up so much real estate. To compare, the other TV stand we have has a smaller base and holds a larger TV. The arms attached to the wheels are just so long and wide that it takes up a lot more room than I thought it would. And they're higher than I anticipated. I had wanted to cover them up with the dresser, but the wheels are too high. It's fine though. It works. It's sturdy and holding our TV just fine, but I honestly like our other one better and wish I'd just bought another one of those. ... show more
