This is the REAL DEAL. If there has ever been a time you tried REAL Jerky or homemade Deer Jerky or perfectly spiced real steak in the dehydrator and have been looking for that experience ever since,,,, THIS IS IT RIGHT HERE! And I don't know why they have it listed by price per piece because these pieces are huge, so it is misleading, at 36 bucks per 24 ounces it's 1.50 per ounce which is better than some chopped formed crap. I know prices might go up from time of this review with inflation, and I have a 10% on subscribe and save but I am in love with this stuff and all my kids are too!!! And it can be tough to attack it as one big chewy piece, so we cut it up into strips and then cut the strips shorter in half and put into separate ziploc bags to keep the kids out of the big bag :D Makes it easier to tear apart and eat as well! ... show more

    • Great dry thin jerky. Recipe in review
This is a favorite brand of mine for a decade. Thin chewy and delicious. It's a specific type of jerky so if you are looking for big super thin old school jerky this is the one. If you are looking for something like jack links this isn't it. But you should give it a try anyway. Jerky topping PC jerky is amazing lightly fried on a paper thin coating of sesame oil in a frying pan. Oil the pan at medium low heat and cook the jerky on both sides for a minute +/- . Cut into small bite sized peices and serve over rice or on top of an salad. Trust me it's really good. ... show more

It's a huge pack of great jerky. I like the tougher stuff and this is in that sweet spot of a jaw workout but not tooth breaking. Flavor is great I've been a repeat buyer.

New review: 12.17.2024 Misleading product description, says big slab 15 count up top, but only can select the 3 ounce bag!!!! This is HORRIBLE business practice whomever is doing this! You are now selling a 3 ounce bag of jerky for 40 bucks now! Get out of here with that nonsense. The People's Choice own website sells the 3 ounce bag for only 7 bucks! Also I have bought the 15 big slab bags MANY times on here and those bags are almost 1.5 pounds NOT 3 ounces, but my purchase history says I purchased 5, 3 ounce bags. LIES! I never bought the 3 ounce bags, so why did my purchase history change to that instead of the big slab bags which are advertised as approximately 1.5 pounds when shipped?!? Something real messed up is going on in this listing as of 12.17.2024.... 3 ounces for 40 bucks when they are 7 bucks on the business website is straight up robbery. Post this review edit or don't I don't care. THIS is why I dont buy on Amazon anymore or have Prime anymore. The lies on here are so disrespectful. We are all struggling to afford things in life right now because of these FALSE listings. Get a clue and stop ripping your customers off! LAME. New review: i'll make this quick as possible to help those who love this product like I did. There is a difference now then from a few years ago. The slabs are much smaller and sliced super thin on some of them. Also quit a few of my slabs out of the total 4 bags I bought (2 spicy, 1 yaki, 1 original) smelled foul and to be honest rotten. I did not eat these as the jerky on these were very dry and hard as heck and I figured they may damaged my teeth on them. The packaging is also different than before and looks more shelf marketable than before for maybe like a costco rack or some bulk retailer with SKUS and barcodes. Also don't expect 1.5 lbs per bag when you get them. I bought 4 bags and they amounted to 4.5 lbs when 4 bags at 1.5 lbs should be close to 6 lbs total. The rep did explain to me that that is a requirement in order to ship within the amazon network. They must provide a shipping weight to the system. The rep said the real bag count is the 15 slab count not any weight. So be aware, the slabs are sliced thinner and smaller in size and thus the bag weight on all 4 bags was under. I was short by 1 bag out of 4 basically. I do think the jerky is good still but not nearly as before. I will not be purchasing these products anymore as I feel the quality and quantity has suffered too much as the price continues to go up. I appreciate family businesses and their hard work. Best of luck to them in the future! Old review below: mmmm great beef jerky! Just like another said the gas station type, but without everyone putting their dirty fingers on them first! I ate the whole pack in about a week! I just ordered another spicy, and the yaki and the classic to round out the collection! I love gas station jerky that hands haven't been all over!     • Slabs are indeed large. There's a catch
I bought this big ol bag of jerky because it has big slabs. When I make jerky at home, I also cut big slabs. It's the best way to eat jerky! But, my slabs don't have inedible parts in the middle of 80% of them. I don't know what it is, but there's a small strip in the center of these strips that cannot be chewed, torn, or jerked. I won't be buying any more today but might in the future. ... show more

    • Dry, tough, and way too sweet
I don't like soft, tender jerkies; I like jerkies with texture. I like chewy jerkies as much as the next person. But even for me, this is just too dry and tough. It makes my teeth ache with soreness to eat. Also, I don't understand how they managed to make a keto-friendly "hot & spicy" jerky this sweet. It doesn't have a lot of sugar, at least going by the nutritional information panel. But the sweetness is the first overwhelming flavor you notice, even above the considerable spiciness (which hits later, more slowly). It totally ruined the the spicy flavor profile for me. Edit: I am upgrading this from 1 star to 3 stars because I tried multiple batches and most of them were a lot more chewable than the first batch. I guess I got unlucky with my first slab. If the later slabs I tried are the norm, I can enjoy the texture of this jerky. But the flavor is still way too sweet. ... show more

It was strongly recommended by my foodie friend. She did mention that it's a bit pricey but assured me it's worth every penny. I decided to give it benefit of the doubt and it did not disappoint. Thin and not too salty, just right amount of spiciness. Beefy flavor! Perfect for my korean palate. Considering how much is in the bag, the price ended up being quite reasonable. ... show more
