I was extremely hesitant to purchase this pond, purely based on the negative reviews, but we were moving into a temporary home for the next year and I needed a quick, non-permanent solution for my koi, so I decided to take a chance and I’m so glad I did! Most of the negative reviews were about how difficult the pond is to put together. We found a YouTube video from the manufacturer that made the instructions easier to understand and we had the pond up and running within 90 minutes. The filtration is impressive, as the water is always clear, but what I’ve been the most impressed by is how interactive my fish have become. They’re constantly looking out the windows at us and have started letting us hand feed them and PET them! I actually feel a little guilty for having them in an in ground pond for the last 3 years after seeing how engaging they are now that they have a new view of the world. This pond is pricey, but it was worth it for us. My only concern now is how I will insulate it during the winter months-I live in Colorado. With an in ground pond, we’ve always just kept a de-icer in the pond so it didn’t fully freeze. We have this pond on a covered patio, but I’ll need to do something more to prevent it all from freezing. The main issue have with this is that the small stand legs are completely useless. Don’t use them they cannot hold 106 gallons couldn’t even hold 5 gallons for that matter. It mainly relies on the liner to hold all the water. Have not filled with water yet so will see how it goes. For what your getting it is very overpriced yes it does come with a pond filter but still for the material extremely overpriced. This is the octagon version which in my opinion is much better then the 89 gallon version. Whatever you do don’t use the stands legs they are worthless. Originally I was very excited to receive this. The design looked nice and the pump/fountain looked good. I received it and the directions were very helpful and simple. Putting it together took 3 hours. It was very hard. Many of the parts specifically the joints were too tight and the fitting was too tight it was very difficult and took multiple tries because everything would pop apart from being too under pressure. Once it is built it is relatively solid. the windows match up reasonably well only a little off. BUT the thing that makes me give this a one star is the 3-in-one filter pump, fountain, and UV water clarifier. The UV water clarifier in my pump arrived unfunctional a day after putting in my fish to this pond I came back the next day and found them all DEAD! I was so sad my Angelfish and others had all been killed. I found it odd that there were no signs of damage or infection of the fish. I stuck my hand in the water to grab the fish's body for a better look at it and when I stuck my hand in the water I was immediately shocked by electricity. THE WATER WAS HIGHLY ELECTRIFIED! I then unplugged the pump and UV clarifier and took them all apart. Upon testing both I noticed the UV light was not turning on when plugged in. So I touched the water before adding the UV light back in the water and while the pump was plugged in and there was no electric shock in the water. I added the UV light clarifier back to the pump and turned it on and sure enough, the water was fully electrified!! I complained and received a full replacement pond with a new pump and UV clarifier and I set up the new pond pump and UV clarifier only to notice that when I added the new pump and clarifier to my new pond, the water was still electrified just like the old UV clarifier that was responsible for killing my fish!! I am still so upset about my fish as I have had them for so long. THERE IS A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW that is causing this to happen. The UV clarifier has a hole in the UV light housing where the water goes into but if that water is exposed to the electric current then that is the design flaw responsible for electrifying the water. Was alittle worried by other reviews saying they struggled to put it together. But my husband just read directions and had it together within 30 minutes. I didn't seem to have the same problems building this pond as others, but the instructions are a bit vague. The pump and waterfall work as expected and the materials for the walls are well made. Overall, I love it and my cat is obsessed with it. But keep in mind that it is too small for koi but perfect for fancy goldfish. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Love my pond. I have koi, goldfish, and two turtles which is why I added the turtle basking stones. I get so many compliments on my pond. Very lovely!! Someone complained that the windows didn’t line up. They probably assembled the panels upside down. The instructions are hard to understand, but there are Youtube videos that gives step/by-step instructions which is a lot better than reading confusing instructions. ... show more
