  • A fantastic upgrade for CCC I-Drive
Size: 8.8" E60 E90 CCC
Have a 2004 E60 545i w/ the CCC I-Drive system. Part arrived earlier than expected and install wasn't too bad. The instructions were not great, but install wasn't new for my friend and I. It took about 2 hours for the total install, no cutting into the dash or complications with the wiring. The system works well as advertised, since my car had factory Aux, I did not see any issues with the audio. Android auto works great and the quality of the sound improved dramatically. Highly recommend for anyone trying to add that modern touch to the older BMW's. I went with the recessed stock location screen upgrade. Do have to reach a bit if trying to use touch screen functions. ... show more

  • Plug and play Upgrade to current system without losing stock features and looks great in my BMW
I purchased for an 05 BMW 530i E60 with a stock 6.5" ccc idrive infotainment system (no aux or Navigation just am/fm, CD and phone Bluetooth), I desperately wanted to add Navigation and the ability to listen to satellite radio and my music apps. I researched options for months. I came across this PEMP android unit and it offered everything I was looking for. The install wasn't too bad. Had to make some option adjustments to get the sound right. Volume adjustments could be better... when getting a phone call and using Bluetooth or mobile Hotspot you cannot adjust during a call while driving so if the volume is too loud you have to go to the settings in order to adjust I found a comfortable setting but I would have liked to be able to adjust the volumethroughthe steering wheel controls. I installed the PEMP aux mod first then installed the unit. I also added the PEMP highest resolution backup camera. It all came together and ultimately did what I expected it to do. It wasn't cheap but a great upgraded addition to the old CCC idrive system that still allows original communication features. It's basically an android tablet so you can add apps, stream movies, use Navigation, ect. It looks like it came stock and makes the interior appearance look 10+ years newer. Will need some kind of screen protector/anti glare cover if putting on a movie for passengers. I am happy with it overall. This deserves solid consideration if you are like me trying to update the entertainment unit in my older BMW commuter vehicle. Also would like to mention the camera connector did not fit like the other connectors (the only connector was not an exact fit). I contacted the seller and they responded quickly and offered a small credit to the inconvenience of having to re-wire the connection. It wasn't about what they were going to give me or do for me it was fact they responded quickly and were willing to try and work with me to make me a satisfied customer and honestly that's all we want as consumers. I took a gamble because there weren't a lot of reviews from customers who purchased. Decent quality of the products, good communication from Seller, and everything arrived when it was supposed to. I would do it again. Hope this helps with your shopping research! ... show more

  • Awesome device, unpleasant hiccups
The device is awesome, much more flexible and functional than I expected and very easy to wire. A star off for poor quality of the instruction manual and not being upfront about the AUX activation issue. This actually deserves two stars off but the device itself is six-star. AUX issue: if you do not see AUX in your car menu you will not be able to play music, use voice navigation or use the phone if you just install the device as directed by the manual - you need to activate your AUX first. They recommend in the answer section to buy their $80 gadget for that but if you check out YouTube, you will see that can do that with INPA BMW, if you are willing to invest time into that. You will still need to purchase the cable but that cable is potentially much more useful. It is not straightforward to set up Apply CarPlay but you can do it - just go to apps and run ZLink once your phone is connected to Bluetooth. ... show more

  • The perfect upgrade for BMW 2007 650i
Size: 8.8" E60 E90 CCC
I have a 2007 BMW 650i and I love this screen. It Integrates perfectly with my iDrive controller and looks great. You can still access the original Factory settings menu, but once you have everything setup there is no need to. The first mistake I made was thinking I didn't need to install the GPS, 4G, and USB cables. I ended up reopening everything and running them. Trust me just do it. There is a direct path from the right side behind the screen to below behind the glove box. You just need to remove the cover under the glove box, then use a coat hanger or something similar to fish it down. Then tape each cable to the coat hanger and pull them up one by one. The only UI (User Interface) I was able to get a pretty good use of my iDrive controller, was UI_EVO_ID5. I highly recommend this UI. Follow the pics I uploaded to get to the factory settings. When you select UI_EVO_5, wait 10 seconds, then power down and power back up. If your having trouble connecting bluetooth, follow the pics, and make sure BT is selected and Android Bluetooth is selected. Then the hard part: You have to go into the Android settings, all apps, selected additional apps, find BT, Force it closed, then Open it. You will then be able to find GOCSDK on your phone. When you select to connect, you phone may have a random number for the code, but the device will have "0000", just connect it will work. Now you can push your iDrive Menu button to go back to the main screen and look for Phone Connect. To go through the main menu of UI5 down and up on iDrive goes left to right, hopefully someone will change this to rotate, it would be way more comfortable. Left and right on iDrive selects between multiple screens left and right. Of course push down is select. There is always the option of using the touch screen, but I DO NOT recommend using it while driving, I have to get one of my very expensive rims repaired now, lol. ... show more
