This table is insane! This is by far the most amazing and comfortable table we’ve ever had and we’ve had a few even gone through Ashley’s. The set up of this table was easy and took less than an hour. My only problem was how bad it smelled of polyurethane but after we set it up we washed it down with some soap and water and aired out the house and that helped. It’s very solid, gorgeous and perfect for our family of six. The price is definitely a lot but it’s nice to know that we will finally have a table that will last us a long time and is made well. I waited a year to do this review to make sure to put it to the test! I have to say that this gorgeous nook is definitely worth the extra we paid for it compared to some of the others I saw in my search on here. I looked at others that were a little over half the price of this one but the quality wasn’t there IMO! You are paying for quality here, which is exactly the word I would use to describe this beautiful set! It's heavy solid wood, you don’t have to worry if it’s going to bow, or the wood split etc. while relaxing on the benches. The 2 benches open up to lots of storage space which is so convenient! It also saves space if you have a small nook area like mine, instead of chairs out in the middle of the room, just slide the bench completely under the table. I also love the look of the dark wood against the bright white. You get what you pay for as the saying goes…..It’s well worth it to invest in quality and fine workmanship for your money! We love the way this looks in the house. It was very easy to put together and it very study and well made. Looking at the price, was a bit much, but glad we made the purchase for the quality that came with it.

First off I'm not a fan of the price, it's a little steep considering the other products like it are half the price. However, I do feel that it's a little better quality. More than the options half price yes, but quality to justify the price? No. It's not real wood, as far as I can tell, but I'm not an expert. I do know that with the small damage in the corners and edges that are out of sight it's not the same as some wood furniture you might be familiar with, it's not that particle board though. It doesn't take up a lot of space but it's not small either. It's almost six feet across when you face the long side, and a little over four feet on the smaller side. If you are taller that 5'10 it might not be tall enough for you. It's not too hard to assemble, the pictures and instructions aren't that great, but if you've put furniture together before and do it correctly, it will not be hard, just time consuming. It looks nice, the small damage on mine is on the back so you can't see it, and I've received compliments on the look of it. It's still new, only about two weeks as of this post, and functions just fine. When you lift up the seats to access the storage under them, be mindful of the bolts that protrude into the storage space. ... show more

We are very happy with the appearance and sturdiness of the set. It came in 4 boxes, and I put it together myself in 3.5-4 hours (I am 72). I took my time to make sure I didn’t have to redo things (still had to on one part once); and because it is not cheap. We could have gotten something cheaper, but know you do get what you pay for when items are new, and wanted something that we could use for some years. This seems to qualify. It is not hard to put together, but the the instructions are all pictures, no written directions, just labeling parts, so make sure to look carefully at the pics for proper orientation of parts. The order of construction worked well. I have put together (and built), many items through the years. This is one of the best designed I have experienced. I love this dining nook. I bought it because it matches my desk that I bought 10 years ago and wanted to match it (pictured). Arrived in four cartons, slightly beat up, but the furniture itself was not damaged and was packaged so well inside the cartons. Not one scratch! Very sturdy and well made. I have assembled so much stuff over the years and I will say, this was super easy! I find it sits 6 people ok: 2 on the bench, one on the short side and 2 on the long side and I added a chair to the end for a sixth person. The table itself is on the smaller side but fits four placemats. I used a tablecloth with guests so everyone's plate fit fine. Just measure before you buy so you won't be expecting something larger than what the ad states. Also, be aware that if you want to add cushions you will have to have them custom made, as the cushion sets available are too big for this particular set. Not sure how this would work for a family of five or six on a daily basis, but it's perfect for my three person family and I love it! ... show more
