  • Exceeded expectations, but I didn't use it for flooring...
Size: 36 Tiles Color: Cotton
So I bought these to use for a furniture makeover. Backstory: I have two older Ikea Kallax units in black that I was repurposing from one room to another -- I needed to lighten them up a lot, because I was moving them from bedroom storage to living room storage, and my living room is not big. If I'd have left them black, they'd have shrunk the feel of the room and would look hideous. At first, I considered painting them, but that's messy, the weather is wet and rainy for long stretches, so spray painting outside was out -- no way I was building a tent big enough to contain the spray for something as large as an 8 cube kallax. I then considered wallpaper -- but cutting patterened wallpaper can be tricky for something like a kallax, because if you don't line it up right, it looks terrible. So then, I thought, what about a faux laminating job with peel and stick flooring?? I then set out to find the thinnest peel and stick floor tiles that I could that also came in a light enough color -- I found these, in the color "cotton". This color is basically a really nice warm light gray with darker tones mixed in. Yeah, painting would have cost less, but... the look I got with these is nothing short of stunning -- once I finish re-doing the rest of the room, it'll look amazing. These tiles were easy to cut, easy to stick -- and re-positionable. I laid these out on the frame of the kallax first. Sides, top, then cut them using my leather strap cutter into strips to cover the frame in the front (to do long, straight cuts down the length of a plank, a strap cutter makes fast easy work of it!). I left the back uncovered -- no one's going to see it. Once that was done, it was time to figure out what to do with the door and drawer faces I had on some of the cubes -- I decided to do a chevron pattern, and OMG, I couldn't be happier with how it turned out (see photos). I was able to cut these with my Silhouette die cutting machine into pieces custom designed to make the chevron pattern on the doors and drawer faces. Ratchet blade, longest blade depth (probably overkill), max pressure on the Cameo 3, speed of 2, single pass. Cut like butter and didn't kill the blade, either. The project has been finished for about a week and nothing is peeling off. I made sure to clean each surface carefully right before beginning to stick the tiles down, and the whole thing was easy peasy! I'd possibly consider this stuff for nice looking temporary flooring, too. Not sure how well it'd hold up to high foot traffic in the long term, but damn it looks pretty good right out of the box. I'll let my finished project photos speak for themselves, though. All in all, excellent product for a different purpose than intended! ... show more

  • Great for wall application!
Size: 36 Tiles Color: Dustgray
So this product is thin. Not sure how it would do on a floor. We used it on a long wall that we just have the grandkids toys against to make it look less cluttered. We added a peg shelf above it and we are very happy with how it turned out. If you are going to use it on a wall, I would have a heat gun or hair dryer handy to help the glue adhere to the wall. Dont get crazy with it or you will Scorch the vinyl. We also used a spray adhesive to make sure they didn’t fall. So far so good. Easy to apply and the backing came off easily. We didn’t have to fight to get it off. Just needed to apply heat once it was on the wall for it to grab. All in all, we would buy it again. ... show more

  • Great stuff
Size: 4 Tiles Color: Smoke Grey
Bought this to place down on bottom of chicken coop to help with clean up. Adhered to plywood super good! Very good stuff for what I’m using it for. I would probably consider using this for an RV or similar flooring upgrade. Thin but looks and feels nice.

  • Very easy to install
Size: 36 Tiles Color: Cotton
I love absolutely love it! I spent $50 (sale). The hardest part of the installation was around the toilet. So I would start near that area if you are installing this in a bathroom. I ordered 36pcs and I think about 11 were left over. They come rolled up in a pack but once you unroll them and place somewhere heavy on top for an hour, it flattens out. Make sure to lay them out on the floor to see which way you like best before you install. The adhesion worked well. Before you do anything make sure the floors are swept, washed and dried. If the floors aren’t clean they will not stick. Anyone who complained about it not sticking, was probably because the surface wasn’t clean. They also specify what it will not stick to. They are thin but it won’t matter once it’s installed. We’re trying to sell our home so it definitely saved us from spending hundreds of dollars for new flooring. We are happy with the results and love the color and the way it looks. I would definitely purchase it again! ... show more

  • Looks real
Size: 36 Tiles Color: Smoke Grey
I was looking for a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to redo my bathroom floors. This was easy to install and it sticks well. One thing is make sure your subfloor is perfectly level.

  • Great DIY Product
Size: 36 Tiles Color: Smoke Grey
I am not one to trust this as a flooring, however, it worked great for my projects. I need to remodel the kitchen in our new home, but until the funds and time allow, I had to fix some things. I repaired water damage under some cabinets, then lined with this product. We had some stained shelves, not damaged, by stained. So I cleaned with alcohol and then lined these also. Some things to consider: - when butting pieces, please keep factory edge to factory edge. - measure twice, cut once - it does come up easily if you need to reposition (it may pull up paint/covering though) - easily cuts with scissors or razor blade - take your time - if doing shelf edges like me, don’t let anything overhang the edge. I was careful not to do this, as I’m sure it would eventually come off with moving your things around. Though I wouldn’t recommend this for a flooring, I don’t have experience with it as a flooring. Please note the manufacturer recommendations when doing so. Biggest thing is to apply this product to a level and smooth surface. Using a roller will help with seems and edges. Great product, and I highly recommend!!! Especially for the price!!!! ... show more
