  • Great Projector for the price.
This is my first projector. I have always liked the idea of having one, but could not justify spending hundreds of dollars on one that I would only use every once in a while. I have a nice 65 inch 1080p smart tv which I use at home primarily. I love watching movies on a big screen. Picture: This projector claims to be 720p native. Without comparing side to side with another similar 480p I am not sure I would know the difference. Like I said, this is my first projector. Right now I am using it in a barracks room in South Korea. I ordered a screen, but it has not arrived yet so I am using it on a white wall. As you can see in the picture the wall is not bare. I have an electric panel, thermostat and a big horizontal piece of trim in my way. However I have a pretty nice 120 inch picture with the projector at about 11.5 feet away. I am sure it will look even better when my screen arrives. So for picture I would imagine it would be hard to compete with this projector unless you spend a good bit more money. My only complaints with the picture are some white flickering pixels in the black areas of a scene, but they are not really noticeable if you are focusing on what you are watching. I did have a bit of trouble trying to focus the picture at a smaller size. I couldn't seem to get it focused at about a 40 inch wide picture, but at the larger size I had no trouble. I wanted it big anyway. The keystone adjustment is pretty limited so keep that in mind when choosing a spot to set it up. You will need to try to place it as close to square and centered as you can. It only adjusts a few degrees up and down and I don't think it has any side to side adjustment. Brightness: Brightness is good, but have realistic expectations. If you are using it to display your computer screen, you can do that with lights on without any problems, but if you are watching a show or movie you are gonna need to get the room pretty dark. A darker movie scene will disappear as you turn on the lights. But that is perfect for me, I like to watch movies in the dark anyway. Sound: It has a speaker that works. I have it in a room that is about 12 x 14 feet or so and I have a moderately loud air conditioner. The speaker is plenty loud for that. If you are going for high quality sound or need a really large room to hear then you will want to probably hook up something external. My biggest complaint for sound is the fact that I cannot use a bluetooth speaker or headphones once when I use an HDMI input, but I think that is normal for anything HDMI. I am sure there is a work around but it might require extra equipment. The noise from the machine itself is noticeable only if you are sitting within a few feet of it and there is no sound playing. I would not recommend sitting next to it while using it as a computer monitor because that would probably get annoying but otherwise it is quiet enough for me. Connectivity: I have only used the HDMI input. It works fine with my HDMI adapter and my iPhone and iPad. I watch netflix through those devices just fine. I have also used it for my laptop. It works fine with my laptop HDMI port. Remote: The remote is pretty basic but seems to work fine. I have only used it by pointing it at the front of the machine, so I am not sure If you can use it from either side yet. It takes 2 AAA batteries and they don't come with it so have those ready. You can however, use the machine without the remote as long as you put in in reach. Size: The title of this projector calls it mini, but it is really not that much smaller than any other projectors I have seen. It is a little smaller front to back then the ones I am used to at work, but otherwise it is about the same size. Miscellaneous: It comes in a cardboard box with a plastic handle it has no case, so for now I plan on using the box and included packing material to store and transport it. If traveling a lot, I would recommend getting a case of some kind. The projector comes with a power cord that is really short so be ready for that. It also comes with an HDMI cable and an adapter for the red/white/yellow av input. Overall I think it is a great little projector for the price. As long as it lasts me a few years I will be quite happy with it. ... show more

  • Great little projector
Bought this for the occasional outdoor movie night and it works great. It’s super compact, and comes with all the cabling you need to use it. The storage case is great too. Recommend hooking up a Roku or Apple TV to it, definitely improves the user experience and makes setup much simpler. No issues with the image lagging or skipping using this method. I also use an external speaker with mine for better sound quality. You do have to hardwire it in, I haven’t figured out how to make it work over Bluetooth, but that isn’t an issue for me. Biggest downside to this projector is the image quality - I have adjusted quite a bit and can’t get it to be perfectly ‘crisp’ across the entire projection, it’s blurry on the edges. Not super noticeable though. And it isnt as bright as it could be, even projecting onto a projection screen. But you can’t expect it to work as well as the more expensive projectors given the price point. Overall, if you’re buying this for occasional outdoor use, I wouldn’t hesitate. It’s a great little projector and you can’t beat the price! ... show more

  • Best projector under $100 I could find
Its compact, has decent picture and sound, and even has as a scaling/ zoom feature which many in this price do not. The main con is no Bluetooth but we overcame with an audio cable. Your going to have to spend at least $100 more to get a better one.

  • Excellent quality but not easy to set it up
The quality is excellent but it’s not easy to set it up as it needs lot of other stuff like hdmi cable converter (to use with iPhone), external speakers and wires to connect to them. The HDMI cable that’s provided is not long enough so I had to get a longer cable. The tripod is not sturdy so it was quite challenging to set it up. Remote works fine but it’s too small. I love it but I had to buy a lot of extra stuff to make it work which increases the expenses for which I could buy a wireless projector instead. ... show more

  • Surprised by the quality of the picture for the price
When I set it up to try out in my kids room on a white wall, I was pleasantly surprised by how great the picture was using a streaming stick in the HDMI port (I had to use a hdmi cord and a hdmi to hdmi adapter since my streaming stick was too thick to fit in the port, but that wasn’t a major issue). The sound isn’t great, that was as expected since the projector is small though. I just plugged in a larger portable speaker into the audio jack and that worked great. Highly recommend the projector for the price, especially if you use it in a really dark location. It works ok in my backyard when it is dark outside, but the projector isnt really bright, so if you have a bright outdoor area, you might need something brighter (and likely way more expensive). If you want a projector for a dark room at a great price or as a travel projector, this one is is a good choice. ... show more

-the edges can get a little blurry, especially if you make the projection bigger but its not a dealbreaker (subtitles still readable) -i use it to play my switch -i use an hdmi adapter to my laptop to watch netflix -hard to see in bright light, fine in low light
