We have a 2016 Ram 2500 Diesel 6 speed auto. Great truck but has a terrible lag at initial throttle up from a stop and same thing while driving say 30 steady speed and you need to accelerate quickly for whatever reason. I am not a lead foot or impatient driver by any means but this situation is bothersome. I looked at chips and programmers with a bunch of conflicting information and sketchy reviews and to be honest, don't feel the truck needs more power anyway, just better power management. Enter Pedal Commander. We purchased it and installed it recently. It is cheaper than many alternatives and is crazy easy to install. Simple and straight forward plug and play. I waited 30 minutes after running the truck and put my keyless keyfob about 80 feet away to prevent any chance of having the truck live in any way when unplugging the throttle sensor for hookup. Down loaded the App into my phone, started the truck, entered the serial number in the app and it was done. Honestly that simple. I started with City no boost and noticed it felt better. Pushed the increase button and tried again and yes, noticed it was better yet. I cycled through all of the options one at a time and can feel a difference with each mode and each power option. I like the sport mode somewhere between 0 and maximum, have not decided yet which one is best but this is the real deal. No need for a programmer if all you want is a better feeling and more responsive Diesel Ram with the 6.7 Cummins like I did. Still some lag when driving steady at 30 or so and wanting instant acceleration as the transmission will downshift when you push the accelerator pedal but it is SO much better. Also, I was very concerned that with this mod that it would be difficult to hold a steady speed. That is mildly true but not difficult at all. I really like the feel of the truck over stock and find it easier to drive but also easier to speed. I have noticed about 1.5 MPG lower average so far but with all the playing I have done, deserve it. I will update after the play factor wears off. Have not seen any smoke yet which is important for me as I hate the black smoke crap. Also, I miss understood the sales pitch on the Pedal Commander. It has several performance options in EACH performance range, not just a play on words as I sort of assumed they were saying. So many folks over state what they are selling can do but not this one. Super, super easy install. I put this on a RAM 1500 Longhorn Limited 5.7 HEMI eTorque and from start to finish it was 4 to 5 minutes. I could do it in 2 minutes now (just watch a few YouTube Videos). This does NOT make your vehicle faster. It does NOT add Horse Power. What it does is allows you to get off the line much quicker, without ANY lag. The different settings work as advertised, but I have not noticed better (or worse) gas mileage. For what it does, I like the $175 price tag better, so I only gave it three stars for value since you cannot buy a Pedal Commander for less than $285. With this being said, I still paid the entry fee to have it on my vehicle and I do like my trucks acceleration MUCH better off the line now. After appx. 40+/- MPH, you will never notice a difference though, and you will definitely NOT notice a difference at higher speeds. This device is super for low speed acceleration, where the Pedal Commander can eliminate all lag. Note: 1) Keep your remote start keys 35 feet away when installing, so it does not mess with the electronics. 2) Will NOT throw a code if stopped, but if you change settings while under throttle, it WILL throw a code and your engine will indicate something is wrong. The fix... simply unplug, wait a few minutes and plug back in. Simple. Lastly, the blue tooth feature works flawlessly. ... show more

Installation was about 3 min. Simple to use and you experience the difference immediately. One of the very few products that actually does what it advertises!!! Worth the investment!

First, to begin, I understand how this works. I understand that it, based on the depression of the gas pedal, increases the signal (IE voltage) being sent to the ETC over stock settings. I think it also may send an immediate versus ramped up signal, but not 100 sure there1. Regardless I knew what I was getting. This all having been said, I don't think I would be able to get my car to drive like it is now driving just by "pressing harder on the pedal." That's what I had been doing, and it resulted in a jerks and unexpected downshifts. So, I have been driving around on sports -1. Seems the sweet spot for my truck and driving style (not crazy aggressive, but a little zip). It has made my truck more enjoyable to drive. The downshifts are predictable and where I want them. Really makes it drive like it should... BTW, I tried it on Sports plus +4 one time, and as a warning be careful. I wonder how many people back into trashcan or worse trying it out for the first time. I recommend this product as long as you know what you are getting. Its not going to turn your car into an F1, or your Ram 1500 into a TRX but it will give you a little more zip and a more enjoyable drive... 8 out of 10 (if it was a little cheaper it would be a 10) ... show more

I own a 2022 ram rebel. 5.7 hemi. The pedal definitely had lag before this item got installed sport Plus mode on +4 is definitely a game changer for the vehicle it's like on adrenaline now. No idea who created this item but thank you makes a vehicle worth having. The sport mode and sport Plus mode make your vehicle feel like it's alive and then you have four more settings positive and four settings negative to enhance or decrease your vehicle I enjoy the enhancement sport Plus mode makes your gas pedal very sensitive I could see not having it in that mode when you're driving in a parking lot backing out of your driveway it'll definitely put you into something lol.. with that being said to price is a little steep but definitely worth the investment easy install glad I took the chance and purchased the item!!! ... show more
