This is probably a fine protection tent for a one day event, but my wife wanted a winter season car port for next to the barn. I got this, thinking it would serve but it ripped itself a new one at the first wintery mix rain storm of the year. The metal bracing tore out and bent over. The tiny little stakes tore out of the ground and smashed her car windows. The only thing that save her car body from getting totalled by flying debris beating it like Loki at the end of avengers, was one remaining rope I had tied to the barn foundation. I can't fix or tear this trash down until the rain stops and I'm really angry right now. I'm not angry at the manufacturer. I'm angry at myself for buying this thing and thinking it would work for a season. Waste of my money and now I have to waste my one day off redesigning, fixing, and cleaning it up too. I'm going to try and anchor it with 3ft rebar spikes, for now, and shore up the ripped pipe with plumbing parts when it's safe to stand under it again. What this design needs are some cross members to keep the lower legs from pushing towards each other when the wind balloons out the sidewall. There's no shear strength in this design at all. I tried to fill buckets with sand for each leg and the wind lifted that up and dumped it out.. no good. With the climate around here changing so drastically the last couple years and wind picking up to speeds normally seen in hurricanes down south, I can't see this tent being anything other that a nice idea with a terrible outcome. this is our 2nd full winter using this tent for storage of our " special " vehicle. We live in Minnesota where the winters are tough and these last 2 winters Mother Nature has outdid herself with the severe winds and huge amts of heavy snows .( we set records both years!!!). Each spring when we have opened it up there has been no leakage, no snow has blown in and this spring we have had some earlier warmer spring temperatures causing earlier snow melt with puddling of snow melt on the roof and even tho the canvas stretched downward , it did not rip or leak. Last year's winter had such hi winds- that we were concerned that it would still be in place and not in the next county when the winds died down- but it never moved or ripped. When we first got it - my husband was so impressed as everything was marked for placement and it went up and down like a dream!!! Great frame, quality fabric. Very sturdy with anchored legs and feet. Unfortunately, didn’t last more than four months. Grommets tore, support tarp strips tore through anchor hooks, zippers are of very poor, lightweight quality. Held up great against rain and snow, but could not handle average Midwest wind. Tried contacting company since I ordered the “upgraded” gauge, but no reply. Was really excited about the product based on perceivable quality, but I’m now stuck with noisy, flapping tents. UPDATE: the company reached out after this review and was very responsive! They sent new parts, so I’ll try again. ... show more

I purchased this product in November 2021 to store my jet skis. It was easy to assemble, using two people, and took about 2 hours. Only issue, one of the doors had a broken zipper. I contacted the company and the person I dealt with, Rainy, was very helpful and had a replacement sent out immediately, upon me sending them photos of the broken zipper. I did not put the replacement door up right away, and left it as is for the winter months. I recently went to change the door out and realized they sent me another "top" and not a door. I contacted Rainy and she apologized for the mix up from the factory and sent the correct item out. I am very satisfied with this product, as it held up very nicely through strong winds and snow. If the carport is placed on asphalt or concrete, I would strongly recommend you bolt the (8) feet down into the surface. Finally, Rainy from customer service could not have been more helpful. I don't know how many customer service representatives this company has, but if they are like Rainy, this company knows how to hire quality representatives. ... show more

Canopy lasted about 2 years before the Louisiana weather ripped it up. I contacted the Peaktop company twice for a replacement top and replacement sides and they offered great customer service. They sold me replacement parts and shipped them very quickly.
