The media could not be loaded. I love this alarm! I have always been an extremely heavy sleeper, and on top of that I am now working and going to school full time, so I am always exhausted. I missed important appointments, school and work. I tried every alarm known to mankind: Alexa, cell phone alarms, regular ones, Super Sonic, cheap, expensive, you name it, but nothing worked. I almost lost hope when I stumbled upon this little alarm. This is the best 10$ I ever spent! The alarm is very loud and annoying and impossible to sleep through. Like someone said here in another review- if this alarm doesn't wake you - it is time to go see a doctor, lol))). I place mine away from my bed, so that I physically have to get up to silence it. You can't set the precise minute of your wake-up time, it goes in the increments of 12 minutes (ex. 3:00, 3:12, 3:24, 3:36, etc), but that is not a problem for me. Very cute! This is very loud like I wanted. It's not plastic like now a days. Good sturdy metal even the feet. My only complaint would be that it doesn't ring until you turn it off. (Like the older clocks.) I did want that feature but it's still fairly sufficient. It's not a wind up it does take a AA battery. I love that the hammer really moves and hits the bells. The hammer moves very fast, so it sounds like a school fire alarm. It is so loud and dramatic. There is no way to sleep through this alarm! The body is metal with a black matte coating on top. The alarm can be turned on and off. When it starts ringing, it must be turned off for at least an hour, or it will keep ringing again if turned on within the same hour. It rings every 12 hours, for example, at 6am and 6pm. I wish there was a way to make it ring only once per day, but it works okay. I just turn it off when it rings and turn it on before bed. The light is only on one side of the inner ring. It only stays on while I press the button. The light is not very bright, but it let's me read the time at night. The look is beautiful with clear lense and sturdy construction. ... show more
