Front tires are a little hard to install. A helper comes in handy to lift the handle bar while standing over the battery pack. Make sure you line up the brake pads with the disc during the installation, it’s hard to see as the pads kind of float at first. Everything else is easy. Scan the barcode in the instruction manual for a decent video. Note that the front forks sit on the bolt which seems weird. Brakes will sound like they’re scraping at first but don’t worry it goes away after a few miles. The tires are crap, the standard tubes leak constantly. Replace with solid core, which is hard but worth it. The bike runs great after installation is complete. The battery lasts for multiple trips with a handy heads up screen that displays battery power, speed, and odometer including average. PAS (power assist system on five will hit 24 mph adjustable in the left mounted key pad. Power on and off by holding the center button. Lights and horn buttons are clickable on the left handle bar under the key pad. Horn will have you looking for a coyote with an ACME rocket. The accelerator gets some getting used too as the throttle band is a section on the right, not a full twist grip. Rear brake light flashes during braking, and stay on when the lights are on. Seat is comfortable, and there are mounting points for baskets etc. You can pedal for exercise or watch people look as you coast up hill without pedaling :) ... show more

The bike looks nice and well built. The instructions were straight forward. I was a bit confused by the battery first charge instructions. I emailed customer service for clarification today and waiting for their direction.

Looks good, rides well, plenty of power. 2 small issues: 1. The battery, although locked, keeps popping up after hitting small bumps in the road, afraid at some point may disconnect. 2. Lots of customization options, but there is no controller manual.

I was reluctant to buy this brand at first because it was not expensive and did not come with all the hoopla that the other manufacturers seemed to deem necessary in order to have a reliable and dependable electric bike. Assembly was easy and what I did not understand, I looked up in their videos. The company is highly responsive to any concerns you may have. I bought two of these Velectrec 2,0 1000W electric bikes and we are totally happy with our purchase. If you're on the fence, you don't need to be with this bike. Received my bike 5 days prior to expected delivery date. Was well packaged inside of box and fairly easy to assemble. After assembly and charging battery, had an issue with the control panel. Contacted their support via email including photo of issue, and got a response back with detailed instructions on how to fix the issue within 24 hours. Being this was on a holiday weekend (Labor Day) the response was quicker than I had expected. Bike is well made from heavy gauge steel, weighing about 50 pounds and performs well. The seat design allows for comfortable easy riding, and the quick release makes adjusting the seat easy. Factory preset gives the bike about a top speed of 26 mph and the click shifter makes changing gears smooth and quick when needing to pedal assist. Living in an area that has hills and mountains, the battery is lasting between 40-50 miles between charges. ... show more

The assembly was a tad laborious, but the bike itself is so sharp and very nice! It looks and feels like a $3000 bike, for a great price. I love the LED display, with built in light and horn. Great purchase all around.

Assembly went smoothly using included tools, instruction manual and video link provided. The battery was fully charged on arrival and ready to ride after assembly was completed. It rides smoothly, brakes and lights function as needed. I only have 2 concerns that do not really impact the quality of the bike. The key provided is only to take the battery on and off. There is no key to turn the bike on and off- so it’s always ready for anyone to turn on if the battery is on the bike. My other concern is cosmetic; when I ordered from Amazon the name of the bike was Velectric but the bike I received was Vefredom… and it’s now listed on Amazon as Vefreedom. It will probably only bother me that freedom is misspelled on my bike ... show more
