After having trouble finding a headset that had voice support on FORTNITE with the SWITCH, I found these. When first connected, the mic did NOT work. My son was so disappointed. However, the problem lies in the game settings within the game itself. I never would have figured this out but the headphones have a code to scan for the product guide, and one of the subsections was literally "Why won't my mic work with FORTNITE?" Turns out it will, but you have to go into the sound / mic control within the game itself (not the switch settings, but the game settings!) to make it work. When I got this I loved it, I had a mic I can play with my friends and everything was going well, can even use the mic when the Nintendo is on the charging deck. Until about a week or so later. The mic had stopped working, and then it started working again and then stopped. I did the retiring thing on here and they send me a new one, one day before it's due. So, far so good as of right now. EDIT: After around 6 months the microphone failed completely. I contacted PDP customer service and they sent a whole new pair which seems to have no issues. My kids have used the new pair for seveal months with no issues. I'm going to upgrade this review to 4 stars for the killer customer support and since it seems I just got a bad one before. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I suspect something is defective in the headphone jack on these; perhaps it is not machined correctly. The problem is that the mic does not work when used on my Switch. The mic works on other devices, and it even works on the switch if I plug it into an extension cable and then plug that into the Switch, but it won't work if I just plug it in directly. The headphone functionality appears to work fine on all devices. This is okay for me since I use an extension cable, but it is very peculiar behavior considering it does not seem to work well with the exact device it is targeting. Note that you have to flip the mic down in order to turn it on. This is a really neat feature because it allows you to mute just by moving the mic up. Unfortunately, it's 3-star at best given the build quality. ... show more
