Great portability and battery life. Easy to transport for road trips. Would recommend this OLED version for the resolution when playing as a handheld, unless that doesn't matter to you. This has become my kiddos latest "don't leave home without it" item. From a parent's perspective, I like the parental control features to ensure that he is downloading age-appropriate games and the notifications when requests to purchase a game. There are other features such as time restrictions. I love the portability and having the option of SWITCHing from a solo hand-held device, to a multi-person interactive console. It's a great way for my son and I to bond on a rainy day, and it's great to still be able to interact with him from a distance through Nintendos online subscription (fees apply) ... show more

I got my 6 year old nephew a Nintendo Switch last year. I really thought he would like it and it would be a hit. This kid rarely even turns it on. Never plays games on it. Just uses it to watch YT videos is what he tells me. Umm. Spent $300+ on this gift with accessories n games. So, he barely played it all year. Dude loves that MetaWorld VR tho. He's hooked on it. But man, them kids on their will say & teach ur kid some wild shiiiz if u don't keep an eye on em. Trust me. Been a constant ordeal w my nephew. He's always getting his taken. So, I was hoping this would do the trick. Nope. But fast forward to Xmas 2024. His other Unc buys em GTA on Switch. I believe it's got the Trilogy one. He has played n played the Switch. So, we shall see. But personally I think it's great for kids. That's what Nintendo has always been about. Kids and Fun. Keep them in kids' world ya'll. Don't rush em to grow up.
