  • Great Peanut Butter and Nutrition without the Guilt!
Flavor Name: Combo pack containing Original PB2... Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 2)
Okay, so do not laugh, but I love Peanut Butter with sardines, and Peanut Butter with Tuna and Peanut Butter on whole wheat bread and Peanut Butter with marshmallow creme. You get the idea! I like Peanut Butter. This powdered Peanut Butter completely fills my Peanut Butter obsession, yet keeps me from eating giant spoons of it because I am conscious of measuring the powder and the water to make the spread. I like it, but more importantly, my husband liked it and I did not tell him it was from powder until after he had eaten. The Chocolate Peanut Butter powder is great too, especially since the chocolate flavor is from Cocoa and not a manufactured chocolate candy smear. It really works great in banana smoothies. The plain powder is perfect for my taste without adding any additional sweetener. There is 1 gram of sugar per serving so this is not sugar free. The chocolate powder is also fine without any additional sweeteners. There are 45 calories per 2 tablespoon serving with the powder (unless you add a sweetener: sugar, agave etc.) as compared to a 2 tablespoon serving of jar Peanut Butter which averages about 190 calories. The caloric content is the same for the Chocolate flavor because the chocolate flavor come from cocoa. The low caloric content is because there is 85% less fat than regular peanut butter. The biggest test for the authenticity of taste was my 3 grand kids: 7, 9, and 13. I made them sandwiches first with the chocolate peanut butter and then told them how I made it. Then of course, we had to have more sandwiches with them doing the measuring and mixing. Some folks have complained about how the product is shipped in a hard block form. Actually, the packaging is designed to pull out the air and for us, the consumer, to receive a full bag of the powder. After I opened the powders I put the product into separate air-tight containers and took a fork to gently break up the powder it was easy and the result was a nice, easily measurable powder. Have fun, enjoy and be creative ! ... show more

  • Low fat low cal alternative with good taste and texture
Flavor Name: Combo pack containing Original PB2... Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 2)
Bought this as a low fat low cal alternative to "real peanut butter" and am pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture. getting the liquid to powder ratio is key to ensuring the same taste and texture to regular peanut butter, it should be note that powdered peanut butter is just peanuts with their oils removed and then ground into a powder. Easy to use and cook with when making noodles, desserts, and good old fashion PBJ sandwiches. ... show more

  • Its a good product if you know what to expect
Flavor Name: Combo pack containing Original PB2... Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 2)
I want to say I think this is a really good product and it definitely serves a purpose, but it will never be mistaken for real peanut butter if eaten on its own. Adding water to freeze dried peanuts when almost all the fat has been removed just does not give the same experience, texture or taste of real peanut butter. That said, it is great in smoothies or most recipes where it is mixed in with other ingredients and provides a peanut butter flavor without the heaviness, fat and calories of the real thing. I’d avoid eating it by the spoonful or in a sandwich though. ... show more

  • Add two simple ingredients to improve taste, great for low cal and low carb diets
Flavor Name: Peanut Size: 64 Ounce (Pack of 1)
My kids got me to try PB2, at first I didn't get it. But as I began working-out (cardio and weight training) and watching my caloric/carb intake I needed to find new diet options. I found PB2 to be a great low calorie and low carb option. When you also adjust the carbs for the dietary fiber content, the numbers are even better and the fiber in PB2 is another plus to a protein based diet. The game changer for me was to add a small pinch of table salt and a packet of equal to about 4 or more tablespoons of PB2 before mixing in room temperature bottled water. I made up this "recipe" if you can call it that. Of course it negates its organic standing but improves the flavor without adding carbs or calories. My kids agree that it improves the flavor too. So I've thrown out all the other peanut butters in the house. I use a sugar free low cal, low carb strawberry jam with good flavor and a good low cal, low carb bread with fiber to make PB&J's. It's about 150+ calories per sandwich depending on how much PB@ and Jam you use. Compare it to a low carb protein bar or whey protein bars, its fewer calories, more filling, cheaper and tasty. Note: If your doing Atkins, this is not for phase 1, but once you get to phase 4 and are looking to maintain your weight with a restricted carb intake, this is a good option. For others just looking at calories, this is an option for you as well. ... show more
