My dog is a 30 pound pit mix and I ordered an XL because I read other reviews. It fits perfect, just a little long (covers her tail), but it's great. So cute! I'm hoping she won't grow out of it before Halloween. She's only 4 months and about 30 pounds and is busting out of it already! The hat was too bit and def didn't fit her head, but the rest is cute.

Updated on July 14, 2021: I put all the costumes on my doggies today. For some reason the wings were straight up nicely after sitting in the closet for the past three years. I updated the pictures. Small size is fine for my 4kg Chihuahua (Skye) and 3kg Pomeranian (Chase). Medium size is fine for my 5kg Pomchi (Marshall). I hope this will be a better reference. Original review posted on June 17, 2018: I bought all three costumes, of Chase, Marshall, and Skye, for my three pomchis. Those are great. Sizes are fine and as described.     • XL wouldn’t fit a big dog

I ordered the XL as I have a Saint Bernard. The item was VERY SMALL and probably would fit a skinny 50 lbs dog max. I only kept it because I was able to use the hat and make up the rest of the costume myself. As an owner of large breeds (150 lbs) it is really hard to get anything that actually fits.

I bought the medium for my 8 pound Pomeranian. The shirt fits well and so does the backpack. Unfortunately, the chin strap on the hat came broken so he won't be able to wear it unless I fix it. The hat is a little big to fit between his ears. Wish it had ear holes. Also, it does not have an opening on the back for a harness leash hook. The product is put together really well. Definitely keep in mind that the product runs EXTREMELY SMALL. I purchased this for a 4 month old, lean, golden retriever (weighing about 30 pounds at the time) and she wore an XL. It was long on her back but almost too small between her leg holes and over her shoulders. I would have never thought to get her an XL if I hadn’t read the comment. I would have placed her in a small or medium normally ... show more

Super cute outfit! The only thing is I wished it came a little bigger for larger breeds! I have a Goldendoodle she is 50lbs. As you can see from the picture she is busting out in the front!! But she still looks cute! I also had to add a wooden rod in the wings to make them stand straight out as said in a previous review.
